I agree with Rachael that we need choices in health care and that's one of the reasons I support The Affordable Health Choices Act.

While the Single Payer Option might work in a perfect world, the Affordable Healthy Choices Act will provide a real choice.

Heath co-op's may also work but only if there is also a true public option.

We really do need reform.

Sadly he perpetuated the myth that a single payer system has no freedom of choice. He played the audience like a typical politician looking for votes. Medicare is a single payer system. My friend whose drs ordered an MRI was denied 3 times by her ins. co. The drs said if she were on Medicare, there would be no problem. My son's friend who has cancer hit his lifetime max. so Blue Cross cut him off and left him to die. Vern lost an opportunity to educate the people. AARP has an excellent article.
