  • there will be no "public option"

there will be no tax dollars paying for or subsidizing abortion

there will be negligible reduction in rates

private insurance will remain in it's current condition

    there will be moderate regulation

if you get your information from from cable news, you will be under informed - your understanding will be limited to the incessant, left/right dog and pony show

  • @synapsecracklepop thank you for your response. I made this video 3 months ago, when the public option was still on the table, also the Stupak amendment applies to the insurance companies that buy into the exchange. I also don't talk about the public option so I'm confused as to how your post relates to my video.

  • @new211 too late for me to remove it. I feel like that Gilda Radner charactger... "oops, nevermind." Be patient with the old people, OK? sorry.

  • @synapsecracklepop Oh it is ok! I just wasn't sure if you were referencing my video or another commentator. Just being sure

  • Operating on the premise that abortions should be a "right" is a faulty premise--although it is legal, it is NOT MORAL.

FOR EVERY 1.3 BLACK BABIES BORN 1 IS ABORTED.

ABORTION IS THE #1 KILLER OF AFRICAN AMERICANS IN THE US

Margaret Sanger (the founder of Planned Parenthood) is jumping for joy--this is just what she wanted, "to get rid of negros and poor" that is why Planned Parenthood is in black & hispanic poor neighborhoods--ITS TRUE EUGENICS--it is EVIL!

  • The majority of abortions are considered Elective Surgerys. How many other forms of elective surgery are allowed in this bill? Ergo, abortions, being an elective surgery, should not even be in this bill.

  • @catholicmom05 Yes. I agree. Abortion helps get rid of poor people but I don't think it goes far enough. We need manditory abortio s for low income families. This will help to lower healthcare costs. I don't care what race if you are low income you are a drain on the economy and instead of sucking up welfare just nip it in the bud and abort It.

  • I think you're a smart girl and you'll make the right decisions in life, eventually. You have a analytical mind and although I don't know you, It seems as though you have a good heart. Keep thinking it through, don't put too much stock in what you'll here, or read, on YouTube. Pray on it, you'll get it right. I think you have a future as a conservative, you're fair in your thought process.

  • re:comment about a constitutional right to and abortion and the poor not been able to pay...we have the right to LIFE, liberty and the pursuit of happiness...i don't think the gov't should pay for your happiness.

    blacks/slaves

    Jews/holocaust

    babies/abortion.

not matter how you slice it, a fetus is a human and it is legal to kill them. Why can't we extend abortions till our kids are 18 since we have to support them till then? WHERE is the threshold? just thoughts and questions?

  • AND if you're "raped" ... which is probably only 1% of abortion reasons, I would be willing to pay for that but there better be a rape kit and police report. Otherwise abortions are done mostly for convenience and that's not my problem or the problem of other taxpayers.

again, PJs are great and you're still fabulous even though I disagree.

  • and how about the MAN that got her knocked up pay the $300 for the abortion?

A problem I have is that BC is cheap. REALLY cheap. Men buy condoms and a box of condoms is roughly the same $ as BC from planned parenthood. which gives condoms for free.

If you ELECT to have sex you have made the decision to take responsibility for the consequences which ever way you go with it. If you can ELECT to have abortion you can ELECT to not have sex.

  • Let me start by saying that your PJs are great!

here's the thing though... you have every right to have or not have a child but I'm not interested in paying for either. It's YOUR decision to have or not have a baby. It's not like getting lupus which is not your choice.

Planned parenthood provides birth control for NEXT TO NOTHING or NOTHING if you can't afford it. I don't want to hear that someone can't pay $10 for BC.

  • sorry I agree with you. But forget it. I want Abortion restrictions put in the final bill if that's what it takes to pass it. This is a healthcare bill, not an abortion one. Abortion is just one health issue, but respectfully said, it is the least important or urgent to our country and citizens.

  • I have to say that I am pro-life, but you made a pretty civil video. I don't believe the government should fund abortion, because essentially, "government money" is taxpayer money. Where do you think the government gets that money? I am not comfortable at all with knowing that money will be taken from my pocket and given to the government to pay for abortion. Again, thanks for being civil in your video, I appreciate it. Not everyone knows how to maintain civility.

  • I have to hand it to you lady. You're pretty smart to dissect all of that. Idk if you're Catholic, but I am and I'm appalled that a part of my tax money would be going toward funding for the killing of innocent life. If this happens, I would not feel as proud to be an American anymore.

  • Center for Bio-Ethical Reform website.

  • I love your vids. i agree that every woman has the right to an abortion even though, like you, i don't necessarily agree with abortion. as far as the Stupak-Pitts thing.. ugh. it's totally a denial of these womens rights to an abortion. YAY CLASSISM!! anyway, keep up the thought inspiring vids. lovin the umbrella pj's btw. adorable!! :P

  • It is total classism and it is astounding that to even question this amendment puts you in the minority

  • I share very many of your views. Yes I feel the government should cover abortions for those who need one and can not afford. More importantly though, they should cover birth control for those who can not afford. Imagine how much health care costs would go down if they did, along with the abortion rate. In my opinion pro-life activists shouldn't even have a say if they don't have at least one adopted child. It's easy to choose for another when that choice doesn't effect you.

  • It is also easy for them to pass judgment when many of them have the resources to cover up their daughter's "little mistakes" by sending them away to "summer" camp to hide their pregnancies. They have a real disconnect from reality.

  • Those of us in the pro-choice camp are the only one's who see the abortion issue objectively. With the options today, No I don't see abortion brilliant means of birth control either. That being said..Girls that do not have the means or the dedication or responsibility to properly raise a child, get pregnant a lot. These are the ones that can least afford to pay for an abortion.. As important as the health care bill is to Americas future, we can't sell out on RvW.

  • We can't sell out on RvW. I guess another problem is that the government doesn't subsidize actual birth control and so abortion has become a fall back for poor people who cant afford to go on the pill. Funny though, medicaid will cover a man's Viagra.

  • "Funny though, medicaid will cover a man's Viagra" <That's a good point..
