Well, please consider that Einstein was not atheist, in his autobiographi he high valued Jesus Christ and he confessed that he acknoledge God. This was the best christian film I've seen in a long time. Kirk Cameron did an excellent job, and the Lord used this film to touch many lives. I hope they put out more like this.
This movie is very powerful. I LOVED IT!!! I cried at parts toward the end and if I was not careful I would have cried my eyes out. It was very moving and very believable. God Bless everyone involved in making this film and thank you for making it!
OMG!! I went to see Fireproof last night and it was SOOOO awesome! I am so happy it did so well last weekend, hopefully it will again this weekend. I will tell you, the theatre was PACKED, we had to sit in the very back row to get 6 seats together. Also, from that vantage point I can tell you, not one person left their seat during the whole movie and this is the first film I have been to in a very long time that everyone actually applauded at the end. Again, LOVED this movie, go see it!!!

Each christian has a personal reason for serving God. We're not blind or delusional. We've simply admitted that we can't live in this broken world without a saviour. My reason is, it's what's given me freedom. Freedom from having to fit in to the rest of the world to be accepted, freedom from being alone. Freedom to not run from my problems but accept God as the solution. You say you are free to choose your own purpose. What is your purpose and how would you know when you've found it?

Not to mention the times when others would feel like their world is coming to an end for things like relationships and hurt in the world where people are making their "Gods" drugs, drinking and throwing up in a toilet that I get to feel secure, loved, beautiful and like my life is only beginning because it doesn't end in the grave. Atheists make up 14% of the general population but only 1% of the prison population. The Christian prison population is the same as the percentage in the general population. That suggests morality problems among the religious, but that's misleading as well. These problems are more complex than God or no God.

Einstein's concept of God was nothing like the Christian idea of God. He saw God as part of the cosmos and not a personal savior to mankind. The Bible has great passages for values and morality, but the Baghavad Gita and the Dammapada have superb guidance for all of us to follow as well. In truth, we have acquired the concept of cooperation and morality through evolution. Religion is a product of cultural and biological evolution and probably served to organize earlier societies.

I would like to stress that atheists or even agnostics can follow good morals only up to 1-2 generations FROM their believer parents. Also, no credible scientist these days will say we come from monkeys. The Church (at least the Catholic one) agrees with the current evolution theory. Mate, I have no religion. I am open to there possible being a god, but not any god of organised religon.
The Bible says that God permitted the Israelites to slay men and rape women. God "hardened Pharoah's heart" so that innocent children could die, which in his head is the best way to free his people. Also, why did God make us all sinners, and why did he leave his children alone in a garden with an evil TALKIING SNAKE?

You asked why God made us all sinners... God didn't make us sinners, we made us sinners. Adam and Eve had a choice and they believed satan over God. God made everything perfect, but man and the devil made sin and evil.

God would never "permit" any woman to be raped. What I mean by that is God would never say it's "ok" for a man to rape a woman. It's bad enough for any man to verbally or worse physically abuse any women, especially his wife.
I'd consider raping a woman to be an ultimate sin against her.

Well, since your word usage of "your god" would indicate to me you don't belief in god or the bible to begin with. There's nothing in the old testament that says it's ok for a man to physically violate a womans body sexually, period.
Anything said to the contrary is just for purpose of initiating an arguement. Thats hard to do in a one way conversation.

You wish failure to a film that could help people become more patient, kind, considerate, loving? Wow! and you talk about God being violent..... look into yourself and see who YOU really are, because you portray a violent, unloved, person.

This was the best christian film I've seen in a long time. Kirk Cameron did an excellent job, and the Lord used this film to touch many lives. I hope they put out more like this.

its made $12 million so far, which is probably far above its budget. so its already a success, especially by christian movie standards.

This movie is very powerful. I LOVED IT!!! I cried at parts toward the end and if I was not careful I would have cried my eyes out. It was very moving and very believable. God Bless everyone involved in making this film and thank you for making it!

OMG!! I went to see Fireproof last night and it was SOOOO awesome! I am so happy it did so well last weekend, hopefully it will again this weekend. I will tell you, the theatre was PACKED, we had to sit in the very back row to get 6 seats together. Also, from that vantage point I can tell you, not one person left their seat during the whole movie and this is the first film I have been to in a very long time that everyone actually applauded at the end. Again, LOVED this movie, go see it!!!
