God, i used to play this game everyday as a kid when I went to my dads house for the weekend. I would sit there for hours kicking this games ass. And yet, I find myself at the age of 27 still playing this goddamn game lol.

I even got the one for the Nintendo DS which is ok, but this one was the best out of all the Populous games that were released. Even Populous 3 wasn't all that great, I didn't care for the 3D look of it. Nice video too, i might play some of this game actually :D

Deathmatch is quite popular in Populous. Here's how to set one up...

The rules for DM:

1. No effects causing mass destruction.

2. Only non-disastrous or minor killing effects are to be used (but never on leaders).

The rules for standard gameplay:

1. You can use all god powers.

2. Basically the one who booms or makes land the fastest is generally going to be the winner!

The rules for limited gameplay:

1. You may limit sprogging.

2. You may limit raise or lower land.

Bullfrog is flippin' greedy. This game is how old? Yet they INSIST on not releasing it as freeware as they try to suck as much fuck*n money out of it as they can. That really annoys me. Companies get .0000000000000001 cent on each old game that they sell, yet they still cling onto it trying to squeeze the sand for more water. Why? No one's going to buy it. My problem is not that they need money to make a profit, but that they hold on trying to make a profit off of a 10+ year old game!
