Labs are the best! They do shed a bit, but not a lot. They're extremely playful, friendly, intelligent and beautiful. They need a lot of attention and excercise, so be prepared to take on on walks every day or have a big yard where they can roam freely. They'll eat anything and everything and get fat easily, so feed them only twice a day (3 times tops) and that's it no matter how much they beg!
My dad is thinkin of getting a lab, and i have a few questions. #1, Do they shed badly? #2, can you give me some traits about them, and lastly, #3, can you give me some tips about them? if you could answer these i would be very grateful. THANKS!
1.) Yes the do. Its pretty bad as they get older and when it is hot. I, personally, use a sheerer on my lab. It takes out the loose undercoat fur. Hey, it works on my horses too!
2.) They're pretty high-strung, but extremely lovable. You need to handle them around children and other animals at a young age, or they can me agressive in their older years. Also may sure they arent food/toy agressive.
at 2 years they *know* you. if you want to play they will play, if you want to sit a read, they;re happy to be quit beside you 9unless you have another dog)
calmest most gentle bredd there is - not sure where the 'high strung' thinking comes from - that's usually just in the first couple of years - puppy AND YOUNG ADUKT STAGE
