This is really a film based on your ability to suspend your disbelief.

If you can do that, it is absolutely frightening, I saw this with my friends and brother 4 out of 5 of us were freaking scared, my brother on the other hand, remained calm.

i enjoyed the movie ALOT! the acting really draws you in and what helps is the connection you see between micah and katie they seem real bc they are really together so it seems like a real relationship. this part is gonna be hard to explain but most movies you see dont leave you feeling anything except i just saw a movie so anytime you see a movie that you are talking about later or makes you feel any kind of emotion afterwards such as anger, disguest, horror, or sadness was well done.

I didn't rip it. I think Blair Witch is a good movie, but you won't be scared of this movie if you didn't find Blair Witch scary. Both movies require you suspend your disbelief (as most movies do - but this one especially). The problem this movie could suffer is that people that don't believe in demons and supernatural beings will not be scared.

Demonologists do exist, actually. Basically the study of demonic presences... Although, I can understand why you haven't heard of them, it isn't exactly the most common study.

People really need to realize that a movie with "jump-out-at-you" moments is not scary. It's a cheap startle, which is what almost every horror movie does nowadays. Most horror movies aren't scary movies.

The good thing about PA is that it doesn't rely on that. It creates an atmosphere that gives you a creepy feeling rather than making you feel anxious of when there's going to be a loud noise or something.

As not only a fan of ghost movies, but a fan of paranormal activity investigations (not just TAPS), I was conflicted with the movie. I was expected to be scared or at least jump in the movie. By the time it was over, though, I was heavily disappointed. It felt like I spent $7.50 to watch two people sleep for 99 minutes.

Again, the pros are there. Great special effects and - as a movie - it seems well done enough. However, it suffered the OHS. It was creepy, but not scary.... at all.
