Love it.... Perry hasn't created jobs for Texas. Texas has benefited from being keystone of the oil industry during sustained high oil prices and the location of massive, new oil and gas discoveries (Eagle Ford, Barnett, and Haynesville Shales) which are labor and capital intensive in their development. Perry is simply a jock cheating off of someone else's test.

As for those of you who have no sense of humor and want to defend Perry (which is kind of ironic, anyway) -- just take note that the "Texas jobs miracle" he keeps wanting to use as rhetoric, is a misrepresentation. His campaign likes to leave off the fact that employment statistics are lagging just as much as the rest of the country when you factor in how much the population has increased.

This is just low. How is he a joke? At least he didn't spend billions on bailouts and he's actually created jobs for Texas, unlike you know who, who was responsible for 0% net job growth. It's just what I'd expect from the Liberals, trying to force something political on a recreational football game to bias people. What a sad day for Texas Liberals.

The successful automobile industry country saving bailout was obama. while the rest of the country is shedding public sector (government) jobs texas increased them. perry also use the stimulus funds to balance the budget instead of well stimulating like most r govs. bottom line is why in the hell would anyone want to be a republican. they are terrorist destroying this country

I think we should make Rice honorary Longhorns - they also spelled out SEC and then changed the S to a money symbol to mock A&M for leaving the conference. So happy to have seen this myself at the game - hook 'em and whatever the Owls saying is. lol
