One of the best congressman currently in office. I wish he was my congressman. I'm stuck with Gerlach in my massively gerrymandered district. He will never be extracted
What about scrapping property tax on electrified railways? This may help realise these in the US as they are conspicuously absent in the US compared to Europe, Asia and even many parts of Africa. Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Zimbabwe and most of all: South Africa have electrified railways. What is perverse about the situation in the USA?
Good point, seems like hybrid solutions (diesel/electric) might make the transition. I say scrap taxes everywhere, tax is robbery. There is nothing perverse about letting the market sort it out in the U.S., quite the opposite if you look at South Africa's consumer price inflation running at over 8%, twice America's 4%, which is already unhealthy.
Google Tesla Motors and Phoenix Electric Vehicles. Mass production of electric vehicles could again make the United States a world leader that manufactures something that is good for our environment and our economy. An added benefit of electric vehicle production is more jobs, improving air quality, and decreasing our dependence on foreign oil.
