Store in bucket/mylar bag and it will last for years & you dont have to worry about the container getting wet.A rifle is excellent & ammo is cheaper and weighs a lot less than most. You can buy 5000 rounds for 120 dollars. Something a lot of people dont think about as well is a cross bow.dont give away position.

Canned meats, fish, veggies, fruits have a shelf life of about two years and pasta, rice and beans last a very long time. Do as much as you can, and little by little you'll get there. On deyhydrating: 4# of frozen carrot slices fit in a 1qt mason jar. As food prices rise this is a good dollar return on the investment. I get jars at flea markets for $1-2 per dozen if you have to toss a couple because of chipping so what. These are for sell because kids are too lazy to can. You need to buy new lids. Many good sites on dehydrating on YouTube.

Demcad, I see your a fan of Mossberg. You may consider adding a Model 702 Plinkster .22 to your collection. They are available at Wal-Mart for about $110.00. It is a very nice lighweight accurate 22 caliber rifle.
You need way more ammo...rule of thumb is 500-1000 rounds per gun. Two other things I would suggest as far as defense goes is an assault rifle...I like the Ak-47 because it is very reliable and the ammo is much cheaper than .223 and you should look into picking up a .22 rifle as well. It can be used for hunting small game as well but will draw much less attention than a shotgun blast. Great vids though and way to make do with what you can afford.

Canned meats, fish, veggies, fruits have a shelf life of about two years and pasta, rice and beans last a very long time. Do as much as you can, and little by little you'll get there. That's what I do, I'm on a fixed income.

I hope he also advocates growing your own gardens and maybe planting your own orchard, too, and most especially if you live in suburban or rural areas. Even in the cities you can grow some small crops in potted plants and such. And if you install bars on windows/doors and deadbolts, then you could probably move around and do things, not just sit at home.

On deyhydrating: 4# of frozen carrot slices fit in a 1qt mason jar. As food prices rise this is a good dollar return on the investment. I get jars at flea markets for $1-2 per dozen if you have to toss a couple because of chipping so what. These are for sell because kids are too lazy to can. You need to buy new lids. Many good sites on dehydrating on YouTube.

To extend the life of stored flour: freeze the bags for 48 hours, then put in a good quality plastic stoarge bags, while still in the bag.. The freezer will kill any weevil eggs that may be in there. This should make your flour last a long time if kept in a cool, dark DRY place where bugs can't get at it..

Depending on which part of the world we live in, I believe it's always a wise idea to have some spare food, water and personal hygiene products on hand just in case there's a power outage and travel difficulties due to snow storms, tornadoes , etc. It's good to be prepared, not scared.

You need way more ammo...rule of thumb is 500-1000 rounds per gun. Two other things I would suggest as far as defense goes is an assault rifle...I like the Ak-47 because it is very reliable and the ammo is much cheaper than .223 and you should look into picking up a .22 rifle as well. It can be used for hunting small game as well but will draw much less attention than a shotgun blast. Great vids though and way to make do with what you can afford.

Rice Rice Baby! Rice is a good choice too. Freeze it all before storage, that will kill the bugs. Pool shock will sterilize ALOT of water. Get a dog, best alarm and deterrent a heat source and back up food source. Get to know your neighbors, strangers will be enemies and you don't want that. Booze is a great thing to have, you can trade it, and use it to sterilize wounds cheap booze is best ( vodka is my personal fav ) Barrels, for stoves, for storage, lots of rodents gonna be around.

There has been no repeatable experiment to prove biological evolution (fruit flies do not become cockroaches despite much scientific experimentation due to the fruit fly's short reproductive/life span.)
Looking at relics from the past and drawing conclusions without repeatable results from experimentation should be categorized as art/humanities/history not science.

more on point, I want to clarify I know an entire series of books could be written on this. However, my understanding from computer science is that all the math could be set into series of derivations and the start of it is having at least 2 states, 1 or 0, yes or no, binary, from which you can derive & translate all the rest. This unique pattern isn't going to show up elsewhere but being inactive (also a mutation) stops it from hurting your health. By finding the same pattern elsewhere it's just about 0.00000000001% that person is not related to you, or for that matter, another animal.

Hounds have been breed to hunt by scent- it is now instinct- and they look very different from retreivers who hunt by sight (also instinctively.) Breeding a wolf (canus lupus lupus) to look like a Beagle (canus lupus domesticus) is impressive, but it is not a jump in species- only breed; shallow changes on a genetic level. Breed a wolf to be a cat and I will forever concede.

The origin of species *theory* of evolution can be DISPROVED by the Second *****LAW**** of thermodynamics: i.e. entropy.
