  • Thankyou so much. very simple and effective , I'm gonna give it a go tomorrow.

  • Does anyone know if a wound 3rd string would effect the interval from being correct? I have the B and E strings setup right but can only get the G to bend to an A. Would the tension of the wound 3rd string be the reason for not being able to bend to the minor 3rd interval? Cheers

  • great tutorial :)

  • Looking forward to the synchronized floating video!!

  • jj was here :)

  • @FruduaTv Hey great video! I have a question, if my guitar isn't completly intonated. Should I intonate my guitar after or before i setup my bridge? Thanks in advance!

  • Hallo Gazello!

    Very nice setups your doing!

I have a question,it would be very nice if you showed how to put up a Floyd rose on a guitar with a stopbar tail piece,I have searched both, Google and YouTube with only pictures. It would be very nice with a video about that.

  • Pardon me sir, but I got an important question to ask..I'm beginner and I own a Yamaha Pacifica as my first guitar..I guess I got carried away while tormenting my vintage tremolo that I actually heard a snapping sound !!!! since then, the tremolo looks awful..It is tilted upwards and I can't pull the whammy upwards anymore..The whammy hole is crooked that I need to tilt the whammy bar while inserting it..Is it broken? Can I fix it? And if it is broken can I replace it? Pls answer me.....cheers~

  • Sorry if I misspell something, I'm from Bosnia and my englesh is not wery good. Thanx anyway, You do a great job with your videos, keep up the good work and made the force be with you :)

  • My friend, can You help me? I have a Squier Stratocaster with pretty much same bridge. I was following your instuctions carefully but still i did't get the best result. After finishing whole proces my low E, B and hi E are out of tune, little bit lower. Can You tell me where did I go wrong? It's unclear to me how do I set a pivot hight. How much do i need to get them up? Before this i had my bridge fixed, tremolo spring tigh....

  • @DIS2RBER You mean E B and hi E are out of tune as intonation or tuning?

  • @FruduaTv Tune is sopose to be standard but after a proces my guitar is not perfectly

tuned. E, B and hi E are flat for about 1/4 of the step.

  • You sir, are a genius!

  • you are the fuckin god of guitar adjustments

  • perchè non LO STESSO BLOCCHETTO di carta??

  • In fact that I tried this, not exactly that I can turn high E into half step. But doesn't touching the arm gives string slippage and gets out of tune? Also I wanna know, Is lowering the saddles gives relief on the string? My bridge is angled like NUTS and it makes the G string so much out of tune after bends. It's completely out of control.

  • @z3r0sh1ft If touching the arm give you out of tune just check how I use the tremolo in the other video. How to keep your Strat tremolo in tune. For neck angle: you mean neck to body angle? Or truss rod curvature?

  • @FruduaTv It actually didn't helped. The string angle regarding the structure of the bridge. Coz' I was thinking if you lower the action with a high-floating trem which is bad, you might eliminate the string friction. And I can't gather the screws and make the ball end higher. So it's hopeless for me. Especially I'm in Philippines. Lol.

  • @z3r0sh1ft Ok you have to put a shim under the neck in the neck pocket so you ge more angle and you can therefore lower the saddles (action)

  • holly shit man you got old

  • Thanks, this really helped me out!

  • fuck off with the ads mth fucker

  • great video for guitar players, thanks for the great tips

  • Wonderful!! Been playing for thirty years, and you're advises are solving things that cost money before. Thanks!:-)

  • Hi Galeazzo, thanks for the video! this is just what i was looking for!.

  • Just the lesson I needed to setup my new strat!

    thank you!!

    Dm

  • Great video!

  • i forgot to mention that you need to tilt the neck in the neck pocket first so you can raise the bridge saddels!

  • 01:16 There is no correct way sorry,it is a highly personal preference actually!

I have my tremolo set so that I can pull up fourth on the G string ala Jeff Beck, works splendid! !You ought to try it, I'm sure you like it!

  • This is what I needed! I have almost exactly the same bridge in my strat. I want to make it floate.

  • Hello. I'm looking to have my tremolo bridge sitting on the guitar flat. It's floating right now and I'd like to know how to change it. I remember seeing in one of your videos how to do that, but I don't remember which one it is. If you could point me in the right direction, it'd be appreciated.

  • @maggottron333 Mhh no I didnt' cover this yet but simply tighten the springs on the rear cavity BUT before take the actual height with a caliper so you can readjust the bridge to the correct way after leaning it on the guitar top.

  • I just did this to my Ibanez thank you so much you're a genius

  • Frudua hello, I am a Brazilian guitarist and like your work! I have a Suhr Classic strato six Pivots Tremolo Bridge Fender 6-Screw Bent Saddle. How can I tighten the six screws on the end of the procedure? Hug!

  • @augustorenno I will cover this in a different video.

  • Hi Galeazzo, thanks for the video! this is just what i was looking for!. Two questions though: i dont do very big dives on the tremolo arm...will i be able to play full chords after using the tremolo or my guitar will be aut of tune? should i put pencil in the nut, vaseline? any other suggestions? and second question: carl verheyen sets the intervals just like you (i saw a video of him showing this) and he "angles" the claw...do you think that is important or relevant? thanks a lot!!!

  • @chimpautan You will. Regardin CW setup you can angle them or not both work.

  • Love your videos. Have you done one on setting up Floating Vintage (6-point) Bridges yet?

  • Thanks for this great video, but I just have a quick question, I understand that the 1 and a half step on the G string is due that you have tuned the string to E, but how does it get 1 step on the B string and half a step on the E?

  • you make fantastic videos my friend! the are very helpful and informative. Happy New Year from Canada!

  • Just performed this on my stratocaster. Worked great! Thanks for the info!

  • Thanks a lot my friend it was a great help on setting my strat!!!!

what about quantities of coils and positioning the coils, I use 11 strings

  • help,I have a Yamaha Pacifica with a vintage tremolo, and ever since I raised the bridge strings started to break more often. Do u know any way to solve this problem?

  • You make some of the best videos of this kind. Please do more!

  • thanks i didnt know how to tune my new guitar with new strings this realy helps i couldnt find anather video thanks

  • WOW!!!very nice..thanks

  • @FruduaTv

    Great video!

One question: I did this on my vintage brigde (6 screws). The E and B string are fine but my G string won't go up a minor 3th. When the brigde is agianst the body the E and B are nice, but the G string is flat. What can I do? Reduce string tension?

  • @mukkezz @myself haha: I solved the problem myself now! 4:53 my bridge was already paralel so I put to few posted papers underneath my brigde. I did the whole thing again but now with more posted papers and it way better now, thnx.

  • i did it on my 6 screws bridge and it works more than perfect , but i would like to see how you do it,please make the video of 6 screaws bridge Start...thanks

  • the strings are tun ned

  • I'm waiting for the next video about two months ago...

  • Can't wait for the VT my friend.

  • I assume this work just as well with the Vintage Tremolo

  • @BluesHeavy Yes but the VT needs some more adjustment which I am covering in next video.

  • Also since it's a Stevie ray Vaughan signature strat there are subtle differences. Please check out this guitars details at fender before we start.

  • I have checked out the 2 videos u recommended, since totally new to this, I have a few questions. So since I want to change the base tuning setup of my srv strat to E standard from D#, what should I do first? Adjust the truss rod or start with the floating tremolo? My srv strat is already a floating tremolo, but I have never checked the range using a tuner. Please guide me specifically how to do this.

  • @Evil4Eyes First adjust the reuss rod, then siply follow this video procedure. I will soon post a video on the 6 scres bridge.

  • Great video! Thanks :)

  • my strat came with a TREMSETTER installed. Can I still set it up like this?

  • @Bflatest mmhh I would disinstall it if it was mine...

  • @FruduaTv Why? But can I have a floating with a tremset?

  • @Bflatest Yes you can but IMO a well adjusted tremolo will be more performant and smoomther without the TS.

  • @FruduaTv Thanks or the insight, but I love the feel of my floating start trem but hate that I get the string slag when I bend a note the others go out of tune. thanks

  • @Bflatest Just add one spring on the back and this will reduce the problem.

  • Excellent video ! Really helped me alot thanks !

  • Another suggestion for your consideration:

After you tuned the strings with the "pink" pad, you can just unscrew the tremolo screws until the "pink" pad falls indicating a balcance between the strings and the springs.

I enjoyed all your videos, thank you!

    jc

  • @kaicho8888 Yes but this pad is adhesive ;)

  • Good job. I'm looking forward to your video on the vintage tremolo.

  • Ciao Galeazzo, hai mai costruito chitarre elettriche mancine?

  • Is it the same process for a 6 saddle bridge ?

  • @Shilinsky Yes but on the 6 screws tremolo you first have to do a special adjustment , so there is a furhter initial step which I will cover in the next video.

  • @FruduaTv Thanks so much ! YOU ARE THE MAN !!!

  • @Shilinsky Almost, with some differencies which I will cover in next video.

  • Everybody loves Frudua

  • My uncle's fender has a moving bridge (not very fluent in guitar speak :P ) and he said it was a whammy bar, but I thought that a whammy bar was that bar on the tremolo? Or am I doing it wrong?

  • @AlexMakesThings Me too I think he's referring to the whole tremolo!

  • Eh mi sembrava strano ;)

    Ciao

  • Thank you guys!

  • Fruda, you rock. Thanks for making these great videos.

  • Thats cool thanks! Nice Deluxe Ash Strat have same one without humbucker.

  • your videos about guitar's setting are the best!ciao grazie!

  • Grande come al solito !! Grazie Gale! Avevo proprio sacramentato per sistemare al meglio il tremolo ed era accettabile, così è super !!

  • Awesome video man!! Waiting for some other great videos soon.

  • So smart as always! Great tricks in there! ;)

Una domanda, a fine video spieghi come aggiustare l'action nel caso in cui questa variasse successivamente all'intervento apportato, come mai si agisce solo sulla vite lato 6a corda e non anche sull'altro lato del ponte?

    Grazie

    Ciao!

  • @muaythai4lifelife no no le devi abbassare tutte e due!

  • great video, thank you Galeazzo:)

Im gonna try it on my start this weekend:)

  • This was great, man! Thanks! Looking forward to the next video!

  • Nice! :D

  • Will the guitar stay in tune like this or is it better to get a locking nut for this mod?

  • @Andrexthor IMO strat stays in tune ok if you set them up properly.
