Ok...I have this Dell studio 1537 which has a blue tooth sign next to the wifi sign....But I never figured out a way to turn it on...Tried many times but didn't work....Recently I have been noticing these sounds of waves from my speakers...>Like you know the sounds that you hear when your phone is about to go off, or something else is interfering with a network....That kind of sound ! What is it ? Any idea ?

The reason why your mouse is stopping is either your using a wireless mouse through Bluetooth and the connection is going in and out. If your using a USB wireless mouse them the batteries are prob dying. If your using the track pad, then take it into Dell

the only way you can get all the cons about this laptop fixed is by naggin the people from dell...i got mine fixed twice already in 3 months of havin this laptop first the eject button then the finger print reader...and not everything works fine. and this laptop is awesome in gamin well i pawn so GG.lol

No its the touchpad that causes the problem.. I have a 4 year old Dell Inspirion 510m here.. that has the same problem. It had it from the start.. so I would say dell uses crappy touchpads.

and to the reviewer... yeah.. it's really annoying when the mouse just 'hangs' there.. and doesnt respond to the touchpad ;)

it's a 15.6 in screen so kinda bulky reccommend you use a laptop backpack that can handle between 15.4 to 17 in. i think u can stretch out a 15.4 pack to carry a 15.6

Now my cousin who just spent $2000 on his studio 15 has the exact problem, it annoyed him so much he had to return it. I will be buying a studio 15 this weekend and will be spending alot of money on mine, and if wasn't for Mike Ming's SeaSky lid, I would never buy a dell but it looks too cool, i wonder if there a way to fix it.

The touchpad problem was probably a driver issue and it needs to be updated. Also slowing down your pointer speed could help.

the back light lights up all the keys (the white areas other the letter, #'s etc.) its optional to get, also i recommend to not get the finger print reader another thing to go wrong, btw i have this computer i love it, and i download a lot of pictures and the download goes really fast and its high quality, and i like to use the webcam, the only thing is it that the keyboard kinda i dips down when you hit the keys but its reallyyyy miner, also the laptop stays pretty cool

u can fix the mouse problem (sort of) by going into the dell touchpad thingie (right hand corner) > device properties and tick the "disable touchpad" when u got a external mouse. Reeeally strange but it works for me. Got a XPS M1530 but we got the same touchpad model. (M1330?M1530 and the studios i think.

No. I read this in a "fix" it article, if you untick this box i am reffering to (disable the exteral mouse) It fixes my problem and has been working for a while. i got a XPS M1530 and have read about my new computer, the XPS Studio 17 that it got the same problem.

You can fix the dvd drive eject issue by updating your BIOS to A05. Go to the dell site and look for the updated drivers.

Holy crap! That's alot. Mine came with 4 GB of ram and a 320 GB hard drive and it came with all sorts of cool crap. I only paid 800 with tax and everything. I have never had any problems with it.

And to answer soomeone's question down there...Not all models come with the granite looking design on the palm rest. Mine didn't and I'm kinda glad because I'm not super fond of it.
