Joe Jonas wrote a song about getting his heart broken and hurting like he wants sympathy, when he did just that to Taylor Swift. He broke up with her in a, what, 25 second phone call? He left her feeling terrible and the hurt lingered for a painfully long time. So what is he saying? That it's okay for him to break someone's heart but when someone breaks his it's not? Sorry Joe, but that's not how life works.

P.S. I will admit this is a great song though

But the difference is how she broke up with him. She didn't just call him up to tell him it's over, Joe did. She broke up with Taylor in a humane way, Joe didn't.
