  • hello my name a borrat

  • LOL at the sYstem! So many finns pronounce the word wrong. Cracks me every time :)). It's pronounced SISTEM, not SEWSTEM.

  • Finnish accent?

  • I need help i upgraded my eee pc 900 ssd card into 32gb but i don't know what to do next, the screen is black with ( _ ). What do i do???

  • Does Acronics True Image doesn't allow to make the clone???

let the xp backup go to hell

And Jkk how many devices you have now???

And when the hell we will see the Runcore Pro IV 50mm T-Style SSD and 70 mm SSD???

  • Reply to the first post:

Yes it's faster than 7200rpm HD, but this SSD is only for eeePC900 and other with miniPCI ex interface. Not for Sata interface.

I'have installed the same SSD 30 min ago anb it's impressive, eeePC900A is rebirth.

The good idea is the software for cloning (acronis true image) included in SSD and already formatted in NTFS, so it's not neccessary other software or device (CD or pendrive).

  • This faster than 7000rpm 320GB Black Scorpio im running? could i get one of these for my 17" laptop, would it be a good alternative, considering that i only have SATA????? how much faster than 7200rpm

  • though SSD's dont have an "RPM" if you talk about it comparativly its like have a 40,000rpm hd....

  • hi ocz just release The 64GB Agility EX SSD has a maximum read speed of 255MBps and a 195MBps write speed peak and im thinking about getting it, two for my dell xps and if i raid it what would the wirte and read speed be the same number or different speed read and write ..i dont really need storage ..

  • dude you are awesome

  • I love this guys wideos!

  • JKK, I have an eee pc 901 linux model ( xp installed). I previously had an eee pc 1000h and I made a backup of the dvd it comes with. EEE PC used something like Acronics True Image to make the disc. Its not like a disc you would buy at walmart or amazon. Please tell me if I can use that disc on my eee pc 901. I think I will try that disc on my eee pc 901 when I get my runcore ssd. I don't know what I will do with the 4GB SSD when i get the RunCore.

  • If I used recovery dvd to install xp, would it be installed on this drive or the 4gb one, that is integrated?

which one would be the master drive, and does it affect to what drive does the recovery install xp?

  • I am ordering one. I have tested the 16Gb SATA and read speed is around 115-120 Mbyte/s, write around 45-50 Mbyte/s.

    So the 64Gb writes quicker.

Keep upthe good work JKK - the pioneer and authority on SSD benchmarking !

  • ...I'm not gonna give this back. lol!

  • Why can't this be used on an EeePC 1000?

  • You may be able to but we don't have one to test it on and we are not sure it has a SATA bus on it. Also if it does you need to have a BIOS version that supports SATA.

  • JKK, is there ANYTHING I need to know before I install XP on 901 with Linux. I am getting Linux version so it comes with 20GB SSD. Will the Linux 901 come with drivers for XP? Can I go online and choose the 901 with XP even though i get the linux version? I want XP, but 12GB SSD is not good. I want 20GB until I upgrade SSD in it. But that won't be for a while. Any tips or anything I should know, please comment. I think everything will go well. Just curious if it comes with a DISC 4 xp drivers.

  • Installing XP is easy all you have to do is plug the Runcore SSD in and diable the 4GB on board SSD unit in the BIOS. Then Boot from the Windows CD and install to the Runcore SSD.

  • JKK, I am soooo excited right now! I am taking my 1000H back and getting a 901 with Linux because of the 20GB SSD. I bought a USB IDE Hard drive case a while back because the new computer has SATA and we needed to pull stuff off old hard drives. I got the bright idea to stick an IDE DVD Writer inside it, and the computer recognizes it as a USB CD-Rom. I still can't boot windows (linux... ok, but not windows) from thumb drive. BUT this is GOOD! I can put my own XP PRO on eee pc 901 with linux!

  • In the 901 you need the newest BIOS. Somone told us that Linux is having trouble on the newest BIOS.

  • Great video!

Has anyone tried this on the 901? Does the latest 901 bios support SATA?

  • Dont think they are avil yet.. Soon they will be released.

  • 64GB and 128GB are in stock at MDD

  • When I have alot of money I get me one and sell

    the 32 gb :D

  • I want a Runcore SSD. But Im not a pro and have no idea how to install them therefore can't buy one lol

  • JKK, What all do you use in your firefox? I have a eee pc 1000 and try to maximize screen usage. I noticed to have just one bar, and then tabs. Can you explain what all add-ons you are using to make it work like that

  • right click on any of the buttons, choose customize, then just drag all buttons and location bar to top bar with file, edit etc... click done

then choose view, toolbars and uncheck bookmark bar and navigation bar

  • do u kno where i can get the Aigo MID 8888W

  • Use F11 to switch in and out of fullscreen, that will free up some space too.

  • OMG! 125/Read 85/Write on a Netbook! My desktop Raptor is put to shame. I can't wait to see what the next 6 months will bring us in SSD speeds. I love JKK's Videos. Keep them coming buddy.

  • Fantastic!

  • some 1 must donate this man a HD cam

    and a lamp

  • Good idea ;-)

  • Netbook on steroids :) I want one of those.

Are they available in Europe or do we have to shop in the elsewhere?
