  • This is so incredibly awesome. I always wanted to do something similar to this AVR-based analog synth. I hope you have some schematics and ROM dumps online.

  • @TheTrueM3ga Yep.

  • Damn! at 2:14 I supposed you are a machine! very GOOD work! you have a lot of patience!

  • @bountykiller91 It's not my favourite job, but besides being boring, it's somehow refreshing to fully concentrate for an hour or so onto exactly this task. Usually, you can't go much longer without a break. The assembly took about 4 hours per module, i don't know about the backplane, this was more iterative.

Today, i prefer etching PCBs and use lots of SMD stuff. In fact, i started DIY electronics where i left it about 25 years ago and simply did a fast-forward during the last 5 years :)

  • i planning to make a synth its possible to make de korg ms-10 ??

  • If everyone was as detailed in their project summaries as you I'd be ecstatic. This is a beautiful project.

  • "ehm, it's a bit dangerous this way" hahaha :-) that's how it should be :-) what an awesome project, well done! I hope you can share some more videos of your experiments :-)

  • I hate to say it, but you fit altogether far too well into the stereotype of the precision-obsessed German engineer.

I only wish I was half as skilled. :)

  • @spasticteapot i'll take this as a compliment :)

This is the positive thing about DIY. You don't care about some percent more or less for the material as the major part is the time you invest into it. It's a passion - so it deserves to be done right, and i tend to overengineer stuff a bit as i hate limits in functionality...

  • Very difficult to make. how many chips is in that? 100?

  • Thank you for sharing and providing something for me to aspire to!

  • VERY impressive!!!! Im an electrical engineering senior.. I know how difficult this stuff is!

  • schönes video, man merkt das du deutscher bist ^^

  • do you have schematics for a simpler version of your synth?

  • Fascinating. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with the rest of the world. I like backplane design you came up with.
