A tiger needs 42 sq km space to live on its own.It's extremely territorial and a private animal. Staying in a forest once I met the ranger who has seen a tiger once in his 25 year career. This must be like a Gitmo torture cell for the cat.
@monstersVSjesus white tigers are extinct in the wild. the last one was shot in 1958. the only reason they are still around is because of zoos and places like this trying to keep the population alive.
@beasst94 Not only does your comment not make sense, because white tigers are not endangered they are created for show. Normal tigers, yes, are endangered. And there was absolutely nothing wrong with my comment. All I said was, while it is in captivity, I know the animal would be much happier in a wide open space, with grass and other necessities.
@dragonsissiy white tigers literally are not seen in the wild the last one was killed in 1958 and they arent seen in the wild anymore if it were not for these zoos and other places there would be no more white tigers

As for normal tigers, yes it's a good thing some of them are in captivity, I'm just saying it would be nice if they had bigger ENCLOSURES.
@dragonsissiy i do get what you mean with the bigger enclosures since they are sure big animals.i live in las vegas where this animal is & most of them dont even live in that enclosure it just spends the day there sometimes. they switch out which tigers do. they actually live on a huge ranch with grass and fields to run on and some live at seigfried and roys house. so they dont actually live in that enclosure. as for them being in the wild they actually did look it up. not trying to be rude :)
Lol.. White tigers are man breeded they do not live in the wild, If one where to get out to the wild and try to live there they would die, white tigers are unhealthy breeds with major defects and they would never be able to hunt with their white coat or have the energy to do so.
@dragonsissiy You are wrong.White tigers used to occur in the wild but they were wipe out by hunters.They have been saved by man like many other animals that were on the brink of disappearing forever.Do not believe anything that Big Cat Rescue says,they just want your money!They want you to believe that there cats have been rescued from the pet trade when in fact they were a part of the pet trade and most of their cats were their pets or bought for breeding purposes.They are nothing but a scam!
@jomo56789 you realize a white tiger is not a separate species right? Its just a Bengal tiger with an odd recessive gene. It is possible for a white tiger to be in the wild but its highly unlikely and even if a white cub is born the mother may not take care of it and its not as likely to survive
@dragonsissiy Do not believe anything BCR says.Most of their animals were bought by them and not rescued.They used to be the bigest breeder of exotic cats for pets.
saw the white tigers here in ny about 8 or so years ago beautiful got great pics of them hanging on the wall- but ive never seen them relaxing in the water like that be4ore ..
