Dated graphics? The action, gameplay is awesome. Also, this game has got to be one of the most scary games if you play alone, very late at night, while it thundering outside.

For me, the only negative in this game was being unable to purchase ammo.

I guess that was part of the experience, learning to budget your ammo and weapons to case/size. Lack of ammo issue easily overcome with use of trusty knife. XD

Did anyone else here notice how RE5 has similar layout (levels, boss fights).

I have a question about wii...? I have resident evil 4 wii edition and I see a blur image even though it is with component cables, so I was wondering if I get VDW3 or some other upscaler would the image look any better?

@jose1aztk no, it wont really make that much of a difference, unless you like like upscaling blur to extremely pretty blur, in which case the component cables do the job already.

Totally. I even think 8.9 got way high. With that plot I would never give it a score above 8.5, although the fun totally makes up for it.

I don't know about the hardware capabilities, but a RE5 ported for Wii would be awesome as well.

@D7maj Ye, I first bought RE5 for the PC thinking that would be like the Wii controls but I didn't like that version at all. I sold the PC version and re-bought it on the PS3. It's a good game but it is not a RE game. It's really fun in co-op tho.

I played this game all the way through on gamecube and it had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I recently picked it up on wii and i absolutely cannot stand the control style! Theres no control settings! You cant walk side to side, which makes things even worse.  To fire your weapon, you press the A button instead of the trigger!!! Pisses me the hell off!!! Great game, terrible controls. If only it were similar to the control settings of metroid corruption!

@TheThroney By no means do i think graphics come before gameplay,but now that Resident Evil Darksides has been out those graphics are flat out amazing,and would look great for RE5,but yea RE4 wii's graphics even though its a gamecube/ps2 port,its got the earry feel to it,with a giant creepy vibe and RE5 wii couldnt have the graphcis of the ps3/360 version of it and the engine they made for DC is great,and i use a HD cable for my wii
