  • is there any airline that still use combi configuration ?

  • Beautiful China. Also see "Vision of Puerto Rico" on this channel. There are many Chinese Puerto Rican. They call themselves "Chirico" meaning half Chinese and half Puerto Ricans. There is a beautiful China Town in Puerto Rico, and several Chinese Restaurants all over the 78 Cities of Puerto Rico. Also see "Landing in San Juan, Puerto Rico".

  • the plane landed after dark when I took this same flight

  • Tää oli kiinalaiste soppa tauko ku oli 5minaa hiljasta XD

  • all people is not equal under the communism china, most of people is so poor, but major communist has so many privilege, car house food etc etc,,,,,,major communist in china just want to keep those privilege,so that why they killed historical amount of their citizen, its typical characteristic of communism, communist kill their against people without any permission necessary, china is perfectly lawless zone, chinese communist party killed historical amount of people for keep major communist`s privilege

  • First, I want to say I'm a Taiwanese. Second, according to my experience the wing isn't broken.

  • @tommy8441 The wings on the 747, as with all other airliners, are designed to be flexible. See: v=Ai2HmvAXcU0

  • One time when I take the plane of vigin , the plane's wing also looks like broken which make me worried all the time on the plane.

  • ÄLÄKÄ ASTU SIIHEN SIIVELLE SAATANA!!!

  • @Iivotirkkis jep :D

  • air china. why the wing is broken BECAUSE ITS MADE IN CHINA GOD DAMNIT :D

  • @KittyTehCat The Boeing 747-400 is made in Everett, WA.

  • @musicfreakcc airplane nerd :)))) (just kiddin')

  • @musicfreakcc The Boeing 747-499 was made in Everett, WA

  • @KittyTehCat Why is the wing broken?? BECAUSE ITS MADE IN THE USA!! Are you so dumb you do not know that Boeings are made in usa?

  • good landing

  • iauwbfiwbiagur

  • thats cool

  • wow, so much smog

  • i still remember when i was on my first flight and they started to deploy falps. I tought that the wing is strarting to fall a part :D

  • That is one dirty airplane! However, Air China is safer than a lot of airlines.

  • Wing look dirty

  • very good landing!!! much better than all the american airlines...

  • I take it Air China is better than the dreaded China Airlines? (In terms of safety?)

  • @victoriaindigo, you would be correct. Air China went 47 years without a major accident (its first was on a Beijing to Pusan, South Korea, flight in 2002 when the pilot, trying to land in fog, had the tail of his plane hit a mountainside as he was turning).

  • @Adamran123 for what i think, Air China sux and Singapore Airlines is the best

  • @1988harold Singapore is one of only 7 airlines with a 5-star rating from Skytrax.

  • Hehe.. look at the middle of the wing. like it'z broken

  • @1988harold ? - that appearance is normal when the flaps are fully deployed on the B747.

  • @musicfreakcc I think he means the piece sticking out above the flap. It looks like it was bolted on because something broke.

  • @BermudaGreenNox actually its the aerofoil controling the altitude of the aircraft :P

  • that's one dirty wing.

  • got to love the sound when the reversers kick in

  • wow, very smooth landing, good job captain!

  • good video...but shouldn't your electronic items be off during landing?

  • where is the fight comming from .. good video

  • @gluca90 San Francisco

  • I'm going on that exact flight

  • why is it that on your camera, the sound mutes when you zoom in and out

  • The discolouration on the wings would un-nerve me. If they are too lazy to clean/paint their wings imagine how lax the mechanical inspections could be.

  • @Adamran123 I thought so - seat pitch and width is better than most Airlines and the service was good. The only problem was that the F/A's spoke very little english, except for the purser.

  • i was in a plane once..

  • Very nice, smooth landing. Great job by the pilots!

  • What is meant by "combi?"

  • Very cool video.. thanks. The fact that they extended full flaps relatively early and at a high altitude may be due to the rear half being freight and having to use the flaps to lower the nose as their speed decreased. It may have more of a tendency to go nose up than a normal all passenger version.

  • im flying CA986 and CA179 on December 10/11 2010 and CA180 and CA985 on January 4 2011 !! I cant wait for the flight!

  • @crashnk68 I thought Air China's service was excellent - one of the nice things is that after every meal, the FA's leave all the leftovers out in the galleys for people. My only complaint was the lack of personal entertainment systems onboard, as the plane only had central movie screens.

  • @musicfreakcc yah i heard about that... but i thank u for telling me how great the service is on the plane. i look fwd to my flight! :D

  • i really hate 747's im really scared of flying on them

  • @SkyWestCRJPilot It's known as the "Combi." Air China has since converted their Combis over to full freighters.

  • @SkyWestCRJPilot Yes - the back section of the main deck is a cargo area, and likewise the plane has a large side door there.

  • Nice English!

  • Air china now has mini TVs on Airbus a330s

  • i fly air china from Paris to Beijing but the aircraft was an A340

  • i fly with air china from Paris to Beijing but the aircraft was an A340-300

  • I always fly with air china from paris to beijing but it's operated by an Airbus A340-300

  • I always fly with air china from paris to beijing but it's operated by an Airbus A340-313

  • I always fly with air china from paris to beijing 'cause i'm chinese but it's operated by an Airbus A340-313

  • I always fly with air china from paris to beijing 'cause i'm chinese but it's operated by an Airbus A340-313X

  • I always fly with air china from PARIS CDG - BEIJING PEK 'cause i'm chinese but it's operated by an Airbus A340-313X

  • Errr...no....Slightly polluted in some places, perhaps but none of the other things. I'm happier in China than when I'm in the UK.

  • Great One!

  • Great One !

  • beijing loks muggy ad uncomfortable..

  • ya... better then ur country. ur country is fill with beggars and peoples who do blow job

  • chacha chi ying chan^^ lol but nice landing

  • Ladies and Guntlemen..

  • @hdsfs

Well at least they can speak better english than other airlines speaking chinese when landing in China.

  • @TheDokaDoka Under ICAO regulations, all flight attendants must speak at least English plus another language. Likewise, many American flight attendants learn Spanish.

  • @musicfreakcc

I know, but some airlines lke China Eastern speak rubbish english

  • @TheDokaDokaGive them a break; they speak much better English than you speak Chinese.

  • nice landing

  • Amazing! 5*

  • nice 747 landing of air china cheers from Guangzhou

  • i have ever fly this air china 747 before from beijing to new york it was coolest air china fleet ever

  • All the pilots on every Air China flight I've been on except Beijing to NY have been excellent. In fact, my flight from Shanghai Hongqiao to Beijing had the smoothest landing ever - and that's out of over 100 flights to/from 7 different countries on 8 different airlines!!!

  • air china 981..lol

  • herethe wing looks small but it seems huge when u actually sit there.

    I flew with a 747 only twice,I think...

  • 747 400s are the biggest too, so yeah...

  • when was this? because after the crash of the Heldenberg new regulations made flying a combi uneconomical.

  • yeah supposedly you can turn on your cellphones like 10 minutes before the plane actually lands! i'll be flying into PWM International and im definitely going to be video taping!

  • old plane...

  • Actually, it was dirty. The plane itself is only 10 years old.

  • is that fog or smog???

  • that was an amazing landing hats off to the pilot!

  • I fly to China once a year on average. Air China is the best for value. U want perfect, stay home. U want interesting visit China. You want problems U will find plenty. You want 2 find just the most amazing people God has ever had the grace to create, you will find them too. Don't even try to change China, change your attitude toward a people who like U just want only to survive. U have not lived until U visit them U will die uninformed if U don't. It's an amazing place.

  • im going to china in 3 weeks!!!!!!!!!XD i can't wait!!!

question: we can video tape landings and takeoffs now?! cooooooooollll!!!!!

  • CA have now got rid of these combis.

  • I was on that flight once, it's San Francisco to Beijing, it took like 12 hours to get there

  • A friend of mine is on this flight right now.

  • singerman96 and jesse0576 are a fucking assholes bitches

and singerman96 you can suck my pennis

  • awesome footage

  • awesome

  • I love Beijing, it reminds me of Bulgaria, it is a beautiful place!

  • It sucks its highly poluted

  • is ur country the same????!!!!!

  • There are so many countries that are much, much worse.

  • very nice video

  • the whole aircraft need a face lift

  • Beijing air, yuck, id hate to breathe it.

  • wow 747 = sexy

  • what does combi means?

  • The main deck has both passenger and cargo sections.

  • why did they do that?

  • Economic reasons.

  • Is that smog? or just bad weather? Bcoz most of the airplane landing videos in china that I watched are pretty much the same SMOGGY, but Air China has a good service though. and btw the wing is really dirty.

  • I think it was a combination of both fog and smog.

  • 36L

  • I love how the moment you see the tire marks on the runway, the plane lands

  • u can see the smog from china-btw air china has a horible safety record, when i flew on it, it rattled and gus what, the back of the seat, the tv part came off! Air china sucks.

  • Actually, Air China has a good safety record. You may be confusing it with China Airlines, which has a poor safety record.

  • The wing is so dirty!! :-)

  • Thanks.

  • I don't know if my message got through. Brief statement. How and what are the meals? Services and Interior?

  • The meals were okay, but the service was great. They leave all of the unconsumed food out in the galleys after each meal.

  • Great video. I am going to take the same flight in the next few months and it will be my first time to travel on AirChina. How and what are the meals? How is the interior and service? And what is a combiversion 747? Thanks.

  • The video is too long, the last 2 minutes before touchdown would be enough. But "shee shee" for good impressions!

  • I also flew on Air china to watch teh olympics back in august 2008 and then visited my family in China.

  • Dilapidated? What are you talking about? All the control surfaces are working correctly, the flaps are extending without strange noises or grinding, it's a perfectly good 747. Let's hurl you through the soot and pollution of Chinese skies at 600 mph and see how good you still look.

  • I don't know what that other person was talking about. Air China has a great safety record, in addition to good service.

  • I've been on air china before back in summer of 2008 in August to visit my family and their service was excellent/

  • Air China's service was good - asian airlines tend to have better service than American or European ones.

  • I agree with you and this one was a lot better than the Northwest Airlines and China eastern ones because those flights really are not the best ones I've been on.

  • The plane looks dilapidated..

  • It's actually in fine shape - the visible wear and tear is normal for any plane. Air China, unlike China Airlines, has a very good safety record.

  • The control surfaces are a little bit dirty, but they are in perfect condition. Just a side effect of going 500 mph through dense pollution. The plane was in perfectly good condition, and Air China faithfully followed all ICAO regulations, from what I could tell.

  • compared to other airlines in china,Air China,China Southern is the best !

  • China Southern is world-renowned for being a good airline, but Air China is the flag-carrier...

  • Cathay Pacific is also great - one of the few to have a 5-star rating from Skytrax, along with China Southern.

  • Also, Air China joined Star Alliance and China Southern joined Skyteam just about a year ago. So of course they got to be the best.

  • most dangerouse airline ever, period.

  • Air China has a very good safety record - better than many US airlines. You are thinking of China Airlines, which is one of the most dangerous airlines in existence.

  • sorry my mistake

    they are very similar sorry.

  • sorry my mistake

    they are very similar sorry.

  • China Airlines, even before the 737 blew up in Okinawa, had a terrible safety record.

  • what is a combi?

  • It is a combination passenger/freight aircraft, with space on the main level for cargo. Google it.

  • thanks!

  • is it against the law to film plane landings, basically what I mean is, will a steward make you stop recording if they see you? I was wondering because I wanted to get the plane landing at Cancun and Lambert on a flight in November. Please reply!

  • To be honest with you, I actually don't know.

  • Well, you didn't have any problems, and what could possibly happen, I mean, they aren't going to throw me off the plane. And I suppose that the flight crew is usually seated near the end of the final approach. I'll see what happens.

  • Actually, on the flight from Beijing to NYC, there were two attendants faced right at me during landing - in the middle of the plane.

  • All electronic devices are supposed to be off when the plane is about 20 - 30 minutes from the airport, so you really are not allowed to film landings (or take-offs, for that matter). However, flight attendants are usually seated during this time so it's fairly easy to do.

  • how was the food?

  • The food was okay in economy - much better than Delta's international food.

  • what was on the menu?

    seafood? kung pow chicken?

  • Some items were scrambled eggs, chicken, and shrimp.

  • what kind of movie did they play?

  • Was there any in flight entertainment

  • They had large movie screens mounted at the bulkhead, showing both American and Chinese (with english subtitles) movies. That was about it, as there were no PTVs onboard.

  • what is COMBI?

  • A Combi is a combination of a passenger and cargo plane. On this place - what normally would have been the rear passenger section is now a part of the cargo hold. In addition there is a large door at the passenger deck level at the rear for loading pallets, etc. into the hold.

  • I rode the business class on China Airlines one from Taiwan to Hong Kong (being upgraded, with no economy seats avaliable) and the Chinese food was great, like beef and vegetables with steamed rice, fresh ground coffee, fresh seasonal fruit, and cake and ice cream. The business class food was much better than economy. I even used the GPS in the airplane and the staff did not care about the GPS.

  • How much of this Combi was dedicated to cargo?

  • Just one or two section(s) of the plane.

  • thank for flying air china, wish you have a wonderful journey !!! lol

  • 747 has big flaps

  • not that is a understatement! lol

  • first comment w00t nice video
