  • I used this and it works great and I have shown some preggies how to do it and they love it they can match the slings to their clothes thanks for the info

  • You Rock! I was looking for a quick no sew pattern for my grandson. Thank you.

  • Love your videos- so excited to make this, sorry if you've mentioned this, but what size do you recommend for the rings? Going to order some and wasn't sure!!

  • I enjoyed the ring thanks for posting.. and the infor for the lenght and width of the sling.. and I was going to the fabric store ...but I read the comments and noticed it said to purchase rings where they sell boat items.

    Love and Light to you.

  • Thank you so much!

  • WHERE CAN i GET THE RINGS???

  • I loved my ring sling when I had my second! Hands free parenting! Plus, the baby was right where he wanted to be all the time lol I'm planning on babysitting for a friend in the fall, thanks for the refresher!

  • Hi- How long is 2 yards in metric please?

  • You are awesome, thanks for sharing! I think because of your tutorials I will make a ring sling of my own!

  • This was such a big help!! Thank You!! How wide is the fabric you are useing? The sling just doesn't feel right at my sholder its so large and uncomfortable. Any advice would be great!

  • This is great, now I can switch out different fabrics or designs to match the appropriate conditions!

  • haha did the baby just knock over the camcorder

  • i prefer to sew the rings on one side. so that it won't slip, in case.

  • Thanks for the comment - I made these instructions for those of us who prefer to change fabric w/out having to buy new rings each time. I've been doing this for about 2 yrs now and haven't had any problems w/ slipping. Thanks!

  • thanks so much!!! one question How much fabric should you use?

  • Thank You, I got a ring sling today with no instructions & you were very helpful!

  • Thank you for the video! I am embarking on ring slings after using a wrap forever. I had no idea I could do this without having the rings already sewn in. You are extremely helpful!

  • Thought i might let you know my 4 yr old daughter just watched your vid with me and said " thats a cute baby" hehe Thanks for the vid.

  • Thank you! This is exactly what I needed. Well explained.

  • Thanks for the video. A lot of info on ring slings are for slings that have the rings already attached to one end. I finally came across your video that explains how to thread two loose rings. Very helpful. I am expected my third child in Feb 09. I have never used a sling and I think by doing so I may breastfeed a lot longer.

  • THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!

  • I only wish you had mentioned what kind of rings to use. Rings sold in fabric or craft stores are NOT suitable, as they're not designed to bear weight. Either get rings from a shop specializing in baby slings, or from a place that sells horse/sailing equipment. Nothing like having a ring actually snap to make you a fanatic about ring safety, but I've seen so many mothers trying to use craft-rings from some craft store. Please, only use weight-bearing rings.

  • Not sure if you noticed, but I put where I purchased the rings in the Info section as well as on my blog where this video is embedded. I agree that you should ONLY purchase rings specifically made for ring slings. Thanks!

  • No, I didn't notice, because I don't know where to find the info section. (Didn't know it existed, and couldn't find it just now.) But I'm glad, nonetheless. :)

I love this method. I have one sling I don't like (fabric is too short, and it has a closed tail), and I think I may just cut the rings off and use them for this.

  • Thanks so much for this I am posting this on my Myspace and Facebook for all my friends!

  • This is great! I have linked to your video from a blog post I just wrote on my spiritledbirth dot blogspot

  • C'est super ! Vous utilisez quoi comme tissu, il semble très souple ?

    Bonne soirée !

  • This video is amazing!! Thank you so much for posting it. I was about to go out and spend 80$ on a sling. Not anymore. I'm going to make one in every colour for my baby.

  • I can't beleive how simple it is to make your own sling. How can people still pay $60+ for these things is beyond me...Thank you for posting this.

  • great video and goes well with Jan Andrea's web blog instructions on how to do the same :)

  • This video was excellent. I am a sewer but I especially loved that I can have a sling without having to sew it.

  • Thanks for the video. I keep reading how to do this but it didn't make any sense until I saw the video. Saved in favorites!!!
