An HD ready TV cannot display high definition TV, it can only display at a slightly higher screen resolution than conventional TV. So if you play full HD media on an HD ready TV you will actually *lose* image quality. It'll still look better than a conventional TV, but not a patch on full HD.

hi mate i was wondering if you could help please. i have exactly the same tv as you 32inch toshiba regza, i have a ps3,xbox and pc all wired to hdmi (3 hdmi slots) My pc works fine and so does my xbox. But ive connected my PS3 to all the hdmi slots and it keeps saying Not Suported. Ive had a game working but as soon as i try to do a sytem update it cuts off and says not surpoted!

Well if you go to main menu on ps3 and look at the hdmi settingns and put hdmi (On) And if that diddnt work look at the settings on your tv

Stimmt es dass man bei einer Größe von 32 Zoll keinen Unterschied erkennt? Und was für einen Anschlusshast du? Ist das Digital oder weil die Bildqualität sieht super aus. Ich habe mir den Nachfolger bestellt, Toshiba REGZA 32 RV 635 D. Möchte ihn hauptsächlich zum zocken mit der Xbox 360 benützen.

Wenn man nicht gerade weniger als 1 Meter davor sitzt, sieht man keinen Unterschied. Habe DVB-T, also digital. Bei Kabel rauscht das Bild ein bisschen.

Wie gesagt, bin auch nach mehr als einem Jahr sehr damit zufrieden. Viel Spaß mit deinem;-)

I really doubt that. Full HD are meant for T.Vs' that are in the 50+ inch. So anything smaller is really a waste of definition. 720p is perfect for a 32"

Again, it would only make a difference if you're watching it on a 50"+ display

hi jamesdude92 was my old account (lost password couldnt get new one) i got it at dixons when they had a massive sale on and also typed in a promotional code wich gave me free delivery £20 saved and £10 off sale price price in the sale then was £400 but now in some stores like comet it has gone back to £500. and yh its really good with the ps3 you can really see the difference between 1080p and 720p wouldnt have gone with any other t.v this ones the best thanks

Yes I think so. You will notice simply a perfect picture:-)

What I meant was that you might not notice a big difference between 32" 720p and 32" 1080p when you compare them separately. When you have both sitting next to each other you might see the difference. It also depends on your point of view. When you sit 5 meters away you wont notice a difference but when you sit like 1 or 2 meters in front of it you might notice it.For me the difference was not big enough to pay the extra money for 1080p

The difference is only really noticeable, if you're 1-3 feet (30-150 centimetres) away from the tv :)

Does it look good with just watching DVD's?

with this TV the res looks good so its not pixelated on TV and watching DVD's?

Well, its okay. TV is a bit unsharp but not pixelated. DVDs are good but that is because I play DVDs on my PS3 which improves the quality of DVDs. But if you sit like 1 or 2 meters away from the screen you have a nice picture.

well, i live in japan, and i cant find any toshiba regza 32CV505D here. does it have different name in japan? do you know something about it?

Hi. Yeah it might have a different name because we in Europe use another digital broadcasting(DVB-T). You use ISDB-T. Thats why they have different receiver built-in. This one looks similar as far as I could see: CV500 (look at the japanese toshiba site) (sorry, for some reason I can't post a link) I think it is newer and has FullHD resolution. You Japanese are always a bit ahead with technology. and of course you get your products earlier than the rest of the world;-)
