I agree -- I just heard the Gunn interpretation, and that brings back the greatness of the song to a newer generation. Goulet or Gunn -- can't go wrong with either.
ugh..i love this song. i have to admit, that i think he could've done better, enunciation and a couple easily fixed things, but he did a way, WAY more awesome job than the guys ive seen so far. i really like his style. :) faved! <3
you are so right. Nathan Gunn inspired me to sing it for a special person in my life. He is sooo amazing!!! I wish I can see the whole performance in DVD!
I thought Bogart was grand.. He sounded effactivly french, even though he is american! Maintaining the accent whilst singing is very hard to do I must say. And I agree... He is much better than the other guys in my opinion.. and I faved it too! =]
Sorry, i just can't be in the club. His contorted vowels, his vibrato beginining to widen so far you could practically skip rope thru it... and, have you seen him "act"? eww, death by saccharin. my friend was his co-star in "Saigon" a decade ago, he was nicknamed "Kermit". He is cute tho, and a nice guy ;-)
Damn! Probably the closest I've heard to the beauty of Goulet's version. And that says a lot. I was willing to donate my lung to Goulet (I miss him!).
Nathan Hunn is amazing. At Carlysle now.
