She IS encouraging, such an angel and so talented. I always mean to take time and make quilts, and NOW NOTHING IS GOING TO STOP ME. From a 67-year-old great-grandma in northern CA. (9 children, 28 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, and I have taught a lot to sew, knit and crochet)

I do like the part where Diane tells the interviewer / reporter that her blindness is an inconvenience. She does not construe the ailment as a tragedy. And yes, the reporting was upbeat, but I can't stand the sentimentalism running through the story. Before the uploader decides to slap me down, let me say this. I am blind in one eye and half-blind in the other.
So, here's what I see. A woman attributes her talents to God, and people have to debate about it. If she had attributed her talents to smoking weed or to a bad case of indigestion, nobody would have questioned it. : ) lol Admire it for what it is. A talent. If she wants to give the glory to God, so be it. It's certainly not hurting anyone.

I love hearing stories like this one. I have gone through quite a few health issues. They are a journey........I don't wish for anyone to feel t holds no positive energy.sorry......that doesn't accomplish anything productive.
My question is: how do you keep the quilts straight and where you left off. Is there a system you have created?You are so right about the 'pity party'.......so boring to have one. It holds no progressive energy. BUT, the journey affords the time. eyeondsgn

She IS encouraging, such an angel and so talented. I always mean to take time and make quilts, and NOW NOTHING IS GOING TO STOP ME. From a 67-year-old great-grandma in northern CA. (9 children, 28 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, and I have taught a lot to sew, knit and crochet)

I do like the part where Diane tells the interviewer / reporter that her blindness is an inconvenience. She does not construe the ailment as a tragedy. And yes, the reporting was upbeat, but I can't stand the sentimentalism running through the story. Before the uploader decides to slap me down, let me say this. I am blind in one eye and half-blind in the other.

So, here's what I see. A woman attributes her talents to God, and people have to debate about it. If she had attributed her talents to smoking weed or to a bad case of indigestion, nobody would have questioned it. : ) lol Admire it for what it is. A talent. If she wants to give the glory to God, so be it. It's certainly not hurting anyone.
