  • thank you so much for your time. :)

  • this software makes me think of something called macromedia flash. its quite similar but it allso works!

  • Thank you so much for taking the time to make these tutorials, I love the way you present them showing all the pitfalls of the bone tool and how to get around them. Great tutorials :]

  • firgure out how the bones tool works BEFORE you make a tutorial...

    very slow pace... poor

  • @OregonBrandon no flash is just fucking retarded, undo button never reselects what you were just working with, thats proof enough adobe doesnt give a shit about this program....

  • @OregonBrandon His bone tutorial was the best one out there and if you don't appreciate his free lesson make a better one yourself. The problem he came into and solved with the image layering at the beginning of this tutorial was KEY. The same layer / PNG border issue brought my deadlined project to a standstill for several days until he finally made this tutorial that explains the common error. So many ungrateful armchair quarterbacks...

  • cant you just lock that layer or the eye so you cant see it?

  • can i get thet image

  • It seems like you are having all kinds of problems because the way you separated the body parts. I strongly recommend making the pelvis a seperate peice and attaching both legs to it.

Also ctrl+up and ctrl+down are your friends here!

Anyways, good video. Its good to show common mistakes and why they are mistakes. most tutorials dont do that.

  • i agree on all points. make sure to be clear about separating the body parts, and using control + up and control + down will make things faster.

(btw, is the Floyd in your name referring to Mayweather? if so, then that is another point I agree with)

  • he is funny

  • Your leg issue is solved easily by either hiding or locking the layer. I'm not sure how you stumbled for so long on it unless it was intentional.

  • i was going to writhe the same thing

  • It was clearly intentional so people could understand. He explains right afterwards.

  • If I've seen it right, the legs of the figure were NO multiple layers, so he had to make the object itself vanish temporarily.

  • does wireframe helps on this 1?

  • Extremely helpful tutorial, I really like the problem solving element. This taught me to do the bone construction on my animation, which hopefully will appear on my channel in the near future. One thing I learned which avoids the problems seen here - start with all the pieces separated, with big gaps so there are no overlaps. when the joins are all made to the right areas, use alt button to drag the limbs back into their correct position. No more layer problems!!

  • I love the failing! It's much better than tutorials where people make it on the first try :)

  • You can also layer your symbols by using ctrl+up and down arrows.

  • Hey at least they are heading in he right direction with this tool, Very helpful tutorial thanks

  • THank you SOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!

  • You couldnt hide it because the thigh becomes part of the kinetic layer when a bone system is added to it. So when you add bones, all objects on the same bone system will be automaticly added to the same layer.

  • Nice Job, thanks for the info, VERY helpful hints.

  • cant you just hide layer to get the leg away

  • Or lock it?

  • Dont call yourself dumm, you are cool, thankz for trying to teach us .

  • Yeah, a few hours after I did the tutorial I came to realize the bones tool is so buggy that it is unusable. I had stuff moving all over the place. The new timeline animation method is also whacked. After about 3 more days of frustration I have gone back to using "classic" tweens. @#$%^&* Adobe!!!!

  • hahah well thanks, at least it's not just me :)

  • Thanks for this tutorial! when does your next video come out? I noticed that when I add a bone to a movie clip, the movie clip shifts slightly. When I try and correct its position, other parts of the skeleton shift other movie clips out of place. What's going on?
