The anime didn't capture all of the mood, emotion, and inner thoughts and conflicts that the game had but in terms or just telling what happens, the anime got pretty much all of it down. Of course, Fate isn't complete without all of the routes though.

You see, this anime was based on a game, but it's not really a game, it's a Visual Novel, which is a lot like a book, it displays text on the screen, has the images going on, and has a soundtrack, and you get to make some choices in the story.

being a written story, it shows psychologial introspection, so you get the best out of it, not just superficial stuff

And F/SN is a really beautiful and wonderful story, so you should enjoy it at it's best ;)

BTW it's an eroge game, which means it has adult scenes, and that is something a lot of people dislike, but it's just a few though, and it's almost 100% irrelevant to the story, so you can just skip it

you don't need to really read all that crap to understand what happened,

besides, they generally explaing the mana transfer issue before the ero scene starts, so...you get my point,

Visual Novel is it true classification, but it does include H-game, still its only 10% hentai rest is epic story, fyi a visual novel is basically a book in digital form, with a lot of cgi pictures, character avatars, BGM, sound effects, and voices

ya.... cont need to tell e what a V-novel is... im a master in that XDD. I play V-novels and eroges for a long time. reay. this one i recomend. plus Fate- Hollow atarraxia. their good eroges

make the hentai count less than 1%. Also, it's not storycritical, so you can just skip over it. The PS2 Version (Realta Nua) has no hentai at all.
