Introducing Subassembly Composer for AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 and 2011

I'm doing a design on an existing road who's shoulder had fell off. I decided to widen the road about 5 feet and cutting into the cut bank. At the edge of new road I want to begin a cut slope at a 1:1 slope but I'm having problems creating an assembly that will do a cut slope of 1:1. I have polylines set as targets but it's still giving me a flat level cut but I need that 1:1 beginning at the edge of road. Can you help me with that. I'm using Autocad Civil 3D
