I jammed with Hendrix in London several times. We were enablers... heavy into vice and our addictions. Jimi told me on several occassions that there were times when he'd see how all his persona was all just a phoney... and there are a few performances when that lack of confidence comes through... but most of the time he was amped up on either alcohol, drugs or tobacco and caffeine but he was a great guitarist. He played acoustic guitar well too and jam old blues classics til drugs wore off

Great performance. Thanks you. I love his false start. Back then they just jammed at their shows. Today show are so staged. His guitar work on this is so varied, especially in the middle. I'd be surprised if he ever played it the same way twice. Like Peter Townsend said, the guitar was just part of him and music just flowed. For the rest of us it was just an act.
