I own a 2009 Nissan Frontier with the 4.0 V6, and while it's a nice little truck with no complaints so far...I'm looking to upgrade to full size here soon, and have narrowed it down to these two and maybe the new F-150....Can't really decide at the moment ,they're all pretty good trucks... and Nissan supposedly is updating the Titan in a couple of years.... choices, choices,I tell ya!

Then I made a mistake by getting a 98 F-150 cause I wanted something bigger and it was a total piece of shit. It looked good, but the motor was pathetic. I just sold that piece of shit and went and got an 02 Tundra. That was probably the last Ford I'll ever own.

I'm not a big fan of the f150, but I have driven an 07 Tundra and I was extremely disappointed. Every time you even push the pedal a little bit, it shifts. And it got horrible gas mileage even compared to my 97 suburban.
Ok to end this war of Japanese trucks VS american trucks there is only one answer that Toyota or nissan trucks are good for the money they cost at but their not the BEST and yes Americans are good at building trucks because their better at doing most of the work loads and heavy duty related work but their not as reliable and comfortable as japans truck which also last longer then american so both have their pros and cons but the best truck is only the one YOU own.
Well, I drive a 5.7 Tundra and have owned Toyotas for some time now. I do tow regularly with my Tundra and it does quite well. I tow a toyota based rock crawler and with the trailer it sits around 8500lbs. I manage to pull that weight without too much effort and maintain at least 70 on all grades. I am not a basher of vehicles, if they perform well, they perform well. My point is that the new 5.7L Tundra is a towing beast. For the money, it was the best option for me to tow my toy and commute
people have follower tendencies they need to be told what they Like and what not to like.... they are told not to foreign trucks because trucks are for americans. but they know not to do that with cars because they just cant compete with foreign carmakers. i would have to agree the new tundras are turning out to be real crap. the tacomas and there little 4banger are still doing well. i personally think the new tacomos are to big and not proportioned right at all. to much up front with nothing in the back. and here is a small bit of info to chew on. almost all the toyota engines are a hemi engine including as far back as there first sports car and including the 22re. they just cant call it a hemi.
@1tonyota i must agree aswell becuz have u guys heard of the recalls on the tundras they said owners have to remove the spairs cuz the chasy gets rusted easy so they end up falling this recalled was brought up from as the snowy states cus u know salt and all it makes rust i think this applies to 02 and on yrs bad huh?

X2, the 4x4 I saw the most of in Africa and Haiti were different Toyota landcruisers and Toyota Hilux's. Didn't see any GM vehicles (except the giant Isuzu buses) and a handfull of double cab Rangers.

Then I made a mistake by getting a 98 F-150 cause I wanted something bigger and it was a total piece of shit. It looked good, but the motor was pathetic. I just sold that piece of shit and went and got an 02 Tundra. That was probably the last Ford I'll ever own.

I'm not a big fan of the f150, but I have driven an 07 Tundra and I was extremely disappointed. Every time you even push the pedal a little bit, it shifts. And it got horrible gas mileage even compared to my 97 suburban.

Ok to end this war of Japanese trucks VS american trucks there is only one answer that Toyota or nissan trucks are good for the money they cost at but their not the BEST and yes Americans are good at building trucks because their better at doing most of the work loads and heavy duty related work but their not as reliable and comfortable as japans truck which also last longer then american so both have their pros and cons but the best truck is only the one YOU own.

Well, I drive a 5.7 Tundra and have owned Toyotas for some time now. I do tow regularly with my Tundra and it does quite well. I tow a toyota based rock crawler and with the trailer it sits around 8500lbs. I manage to pull that weight without too much effort and maintain at least 70 on all grades. I am not a basher of vehicles, if they perform well, they perform well. My point is that the new 5.7L Tundra is a towing beast. For the money, it was the best option for me to tow my toy and commute

i would have to agree the new tundras are turning out to be real crap. the tacomas and there little 4banger are still doing well. i personally think the new tacomos are to big and not proportioned right at all. to much up front with nothing in the back. and here is a small bit of info to chew on. almost all the toyota engines are a hemi engine including as far back as there first sports car and including the 22re. they just cant call it a hemi.

X2, the 4x4 I saw the most of in Africa and Haiti were different Toyota landcruisers and Toyota Hilux's. Didn't see any GM vehicles (except the giant Isuzu buses) and a handfull of double cab Rangers.
