The Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco is more on moving like him.

@Rozkumari7 i think the band is nohing compared to her original as well as the back ground singers. i feel that she's performing just to cover expenses to take care of her family. but obviously her voice is strained and she rushing way to much. i'm a huuuuuuuge fan and her energy is just tooo different. Even on her worst day she can rip anyone and i give her props for never lip singing like most of these females

Don't we all work to take care of our families? What's wrong with that? As far as the new style she as put on her songs, she mentioned in her Rock the Bells interview that she like to change things up and that she is torn between giving the audience what they want to hear or giving them what she is feeling at the moment. I like the new stlye. It just seems off because she does not take care of her voice sometimes. That's what make it sound bad.

@sladonn636 Of course we do what we need to support our families. i respect that. As a fan i just always felt so connected spiritually to her and something is just different. I agree that she isnt taking care of her voice and if she's going to perform she needs to. i don't expect anyone to be perfect and on point all the time. i've watched majority of her performances since she left the scene and it's rare for her voice to sounds flawless anymore. i just perfer her previous rhyming style.

@briquelinda I know on Unplugged she was speaking about the reality of her not always sounding perfect, and I do understand that; but as a performer she needs to understand that we as fans have a reality too. Our reality is that people are not going to continue to pay good money to hear her sing badly (or) show up late for concerts. I do believe that she has a great spiritual message, so maybe God will help her get it together. That's my prayer anyway.

@sladonn636 So well said...it's nice to exchange positive communication with a true fan and someone wishing her well. Sometimes in this world people like to sugar coat and just not deal with reality. I’m all about change and progress and 12 years does bring about change. Musicians have to remember that they aren't in this alone. We are the audience and I believe most of her fans miss good music. Our ears are being bombarded with dumbed down lyrics and monotonous beats from the industry now.

@briquelinda I wonder if she is still holding on to her spiritual beliefs. It seemed like after Miseducation, she had a more intense hungar and thirst for God and love and truth. She never really openly admitted to being a Christian, but her lyrics and some of her past interviews are clearly based on biblical scriptures and principles. However, some say that she is Rastafarian, I just can't see that though. Anyway, I was just if she still believed in what she was saying in Unplugged.

@sladonn636 based on her past, lyrics and interviews and how she led her life up until now (at least what we see/hear) i would say a little of both christian/Rasta, i'm not sure if she's holding on to the beliefs she expressed in the unplugged album. After seeing her perform at Rock the bells in NY. I'm confused and a bit concerned. she mingled with Jayz/others and just seems so hype ...not mellow and reflective like the past. She has a whole different demeanor even in interviews now..

@sladonn636 I’m not sure if she welcomes the "Crazy" label that many in the industry are spreading. She might just so the "powers that be" will leave her alone, or she might just be succumbing to the matrix/machine. We won't know unless all of a sudden we see her do a callabo w/someone who's not as conscious/aware. If she does a callabo w/JayZ or lil Wayne I’d be very suspect. She's been through a lot and disappointed and betrayed I’m sure. But based on how's she's dressing all covered up I’m

Even if she never performed again or records another album, her words/message and spirit will never be forgotten. True beauty/greatness can be imitated but never duplicated.

They have very little views, probably because few peole know they're up. I'm going to go back and enjoy the rest of them in case they get taken down, there's actually quite a few of them up...hahaha, I'm so excited

@sladonn636 she's straining as well b/c the band is playing wayyyy to loud which makes her scream through most performances lately. i saw her life in 1998 and her band was AMAZING. Even when they performed on TV. The band and back up singers contribute to a good/bad performance as well. i did see the rock the bells interview. And it's great that she wants to do her own thing and change it up. It would be nice if it just sounded good either way. i'm a huggggge fan and something is just missing

I've seen many of her videos from her '98/'99 performances, and I cannnot disagree with you about the band and background singers she had back in '98/'99, they were the stuff. However, that was a moment in time that cannot be duplicated.

Now I know that it is really just her voice and a little tweaking she has to do with her band. She definitely still has the skills and energy. The light you're missing is probably just the youthful glow she had back in the day.

I agree. Lauryn we love you, we need to hear you. The concert at Raggamuffin was incredible, absolutely beautiful.  I sure hope she does release more music, Ms. Lauryn Hill is a musical genius!!
