Arpio has made a career out of bending the laws. A few years ago, he was trying to get his posse to form checkpoints on every road leading in and out of phoenix. He was going to have every car going in and out of phoenix checked for drugs, inside and out. Thankfully, this did not happen as other law agencies stepped in saying it was unconstitutional. I can't remember the exact wording, and what law it broke, but it was progress against him. He just barely made re-election as far as I know.

I was not filming it other wise you would be seeing more of the arrests. There are 2 groups of people from two meetings. One stands, yells and applauds for Sheriff Joe-they don't get arrested. The other speaks against him and people applaud and get arrested. If you don't get it then something is seriously wrong with you.

Actually, there's no law against clapping. The county prosecuter has already had to drop the criminal trespass charge, since the video clearly shows that they were not permitted to leave.

The "criminal disorderly conduct: disrupting a public meeting" charge is even more bizzare: for that law to apply, the county has to demonstrate that the charged created a "prolonged disturbance with the intention of preventing the meeting from completing it's buisness". If we had intended to prevent the meeting from continuing, we would not have sat down before being approached, nor would we have waited until the speaker was finished before we began clapping.
