Hey Scott, i got a question about the Axe Fx II; do i need to plug it in with USB as an interface, or can i also record directly into another interface i already got? Thanks
Thanks Scott. Still awaiting someone to post an axe-2 video that goes to a FRFR speaker rather than a direct tone. Only because I want to go with a amp and PA monitor type set up :) Nice tones you have.
Sounds great. You said you are recording direct with the USB correct? Then from your computer what is your path to record the audio, again? I'm listening on Bose speakers on my computer and it sounds great.
@U2GuitarTutorials Totally straight in through USB - direct. There is no other path - I recorded the video on a separate computer and then mixed them together to do this video.
@peterjhamm Yes - I normally follow the same template so that my controller pedal is essentially a pedalboard for me with the effects all in the same place constantly .
Would you suggest always recording via usb? Or are there situations where you would rather record with mics?

@Jonesx91x I just use it direct.

hey is it possible to connect through an interface with SPDIF OR AES? Wouldnt it be better results? What do you think?

How did you get the Axe II though? I signed up on the waiting list but didn't know they started shipping them already?

@Wallimann I was (and still am) a beta tester on the unit. They are now shipping, though there is a wait list for the Axe-FX 2.

Still deciding about one of these; your tones are better than most demos I've heard (especially on the Fractal website). Thanks. :)

Do you basically use the same FX chains in your patches? Like you always have a couple boosts, a wah, certain delays, etc.?
