  • Every one know about it. tell something new...

  • He is.french

  • now iOS 5 have copied this notification feature entirely,

next thing to copy is the unlock,

and android to copy apple again,

its all good, they need to keep on reinventing themselves , and pushing technology further, hopefully more fair, more powerful, smaller, :p

  • I want that shirt ....

  • ....witch drains battery extremly!

  • @giggsTakeYourHatsoff battery drainage is like beer, you can never have too much without side effects...

but it's cell is already at wi-fi because browser ... so the only real problem is if he is playing a non wi-fi game or so!

  • OH MON DIEU CET ACCENT !!!

  • I wanna know how he made his screens vertically aligned like that! I'd be able to get so much more done! Oh, and andoid.... is awesome. Period.

  • doesnt that constant checking drain battery life?

  • Need 5 star ratings and positive comments on your app? Significantly increase your downloads using starmyapp(dot)com

  • @MoonyStorm Lol the dualboot fails. Epic lag, no access to market, no calling or texting no anything. And it only works on 2g/3g versions.

    fake and gay.

  • FUCK I CANT UNDERSTAND SHIT FROM THIS GUY BUT LOVE ANDROID THOUGH

  • He has a french accent :D

  • does anyone know where i can get that shirt

  • it doesn't matter, nothing can stop the apple marketing machine

  • I love the SHIRT! where did u get it!!?!?!?

  • guys will lg have android ive got the new lg optimus !?

  • @MineCraftCommunity1 yes it will

  • Do the marketeers have a plan of "divide and conquer?" Divert the foolish consumers with brand loyalty wars while they reap excessive profits and fly cash laden G4s to the Bahamas?

  • Android is awesome, but the iPhone is also awesome. They are better in some ways and worse in others. /Arguments

  • isn't he a cutie!!!! =)

  • @Maxmetallika I don't see why not, its just running linux, i'm sure someone's already figured how to get it installed on android.

  • I've tried out bestratingfor.me. They can add excellent ratings to your app. Wonderful result.

  • Background data uses too much battery life!

  • Actually, the Android's market share is gaining very quickly on the iPhone. Apple's greed will soon cause iPhone to drop below 10% marketshare, just like Apple's greed caused people to dump the Mac when the PC came out.

  • The problem about background applications is that it sucks up all the memory

I'd say, make it more occasional =)

  • @RobinBak On other OS it will but on Android you have an intelligent resource manager...

  • @bluefisch200 That's great!

  • i want his shirt.

  • Android is for the advanced, user while iOS is for the sheeps who cant think themselves and need an OS who controls them instead of them controlling the OS...

    its your choice I suppose

  • @TooLOL4you haha sheep

  • If Android was a person, whether male or female, I would have sex with it! It's an amazing OS that I'm addicted to. I used to develop iPhone apps and liked that as well, but now iPhone is like I'm having sex with an over-exaggerated, overhyped, over simplified, closed and protected, shiny cardboard cutout of Steve Jobs. It's like I'm giving Steve Jobs a blow job but then he slaps me in the face and asks ME to pay money. Sorry for the sexual metaphors, its the best way i can explain the difference

  • iPhone OS = iPOS

  • Also, iPOS = iPiece Of Shit

  • @fatimmortal You know Apple has it all

  • look at this photo manager app: youtube.com/watch?v=DCI11RBSUlo

  • Why did you put the subtitle? XD

  • @Anonimus1111011

why not? cuz im deaf i can understand what he say! great idea to have subtitle on!!

  • @redhulk77 I first thought they put the subtitle because of the narrator's accent. But yes, it's a great solution for the deaf

  • Yeah Yeah Yeah but what is the NAME of this APPLICATION??? I have been 2 days trying to know which application is using this engineer named Oma, or serching in the Market under Photo or whatver...NOTHING! ....WHAT is the name of this Bl....y app.

  • @francomur99

    Photostream.

  • @francomur99 he is not using an app its the android thing i guess :| , my phone has it by default -> android 2.1 (maybe ?)

  • Roma his name. :)

  • i want that shirt

  • *lol* Oma (is German and means grandmother)

  • @joyStudios

    In dutch to, I lolled!

  • Where can I get a shirt like the one u have on

  • dude, lemme get that android shirt with the androids on skateboards, or sell it on eBay so i can buy it

  • google is going to take over the cell phone world. if i were all of you i would follow what google will do in the future.

  • multitasking, yet another important feature missing from iphones. and if u apple fanboys say "it kills battery life": no 1 is forcing u to use it. if u wna preserve battery dont multitask. simple solution to a problem that shudnt exist. also android phones hv a user replaceable battery (which wasnt actually considered a feature until iphone was released lol).

  • Just replaced my iPhone with an Android. And as a developer I must admit it was the best choice of my life to get rid of the apple trash. Never ever an apple product.

  • Welcome

  • @kubuntuboy oh , come on , its not that bad , you jailbreak it and its alot more fun , i guess . i have a htc legend for about 3 days , i kinda regret i didnt go for the iphone 3gs

  • @shatterhandeve I respect your opinion but I can't understand it. Why I have to jailbreak my phone to have fun with it? I want a piece of hardware which is designed to have fun. And not where you have to apply hax in order to have fun. I mean my iPhone was jailbroken too (thx to devteam) but without an apple you are basicly pwned if you want to develop something the easy way with an official SDK and not a toolchain. But yeah its only my opinion. I with android would give us root w\o hax tho.. ;)

  • @kubuntuboy glad you saw the light... :D

  • KIlls ur battery!

  • battery life must be affected some how???

i have to charge my iphone each night cuz i'm always txting and using game apps.

if i run multiple game apps and use the phone txting, calling, on a normal daily basis, am i going to get stuck with a dead phone before i get home from work?????

  • the iphones battery is one of its biggest flaws. ontop of that, the battery is not removeable making it impossible to charge a spare while you are using your current battery unforunately :( I just ordered the driod, I guess i'll see if it lives up to its hype

  • Well Did it?

  • @Jager1988 Honestly, I don't understand why Apple seal up their entire iPhone unit! It's completely idiotic! Why not let people swap a battery? It would be more popular as a phone too simply because I don't have to find a power socket every time I arrive at a destination. With my new android phone I carry a spare battery around just in case I'm stuck on transport for a whole day (I'm an international traveller).

  • No. When your not using an app, such as a battery draining item such as a game, it puts in a 'deepfreeze' it barely uses anything.

  • Are there restrictions on how many and how much resources the background tasks can consume?

  • nope well as i know, its allowed me to run as much resources as i like at once so far:)

  • That kind of background services consume very very little resources considering its a managed platform. I reckon it's a matter of hundred kilobytes at most, probably even much less

  • its 192/288mb ram (Depending on modell - 192 at g1 and magic 32b, 288 at magic 32a and htc hero)

when it's full and you have no swap installed, then it's full ;)

(i dont know how much the galaxy has actually)

  • How to become an Android developper...(training in french) : Search "android video2brain" in google !

  • What app did he use

  • connard.

  • is it for at&t?

  • It's not about whether you can type faster or not, it's whether you can type more comfortably or not.

With a physical keyboard/keypad you can type while looking away (with a certain extent of accuracy) much easier than with an on-screen keyboard.

  • lol, but thats still pretty cool huh?

  • Don't knock it till you try it.

    /nuff said

  • dude, I totally disagree! I love my slideout keyboard, I can type just about as fast as on a regular keyboard.

  • A slide out keyboard is totally necessary. I dare you to see if anyone using an iPhone keyboard could type faster than anyone using a slide out keyboard.

  • eye want his shirt

  • Me too =D

  • כוסדכחמ

  • i thought it was dragon ball Z video.

  • lol nerd/noob

  • YEAAAAH OPEN SOURCE 4 LIFE AMIGOOo!!!

  • If you root your phone and download advance task manager you can see all the running apps and processes and kill any of them:-)

  • Huita!

  • um...no...been a WM user since 2003, just switched to the iPhone recently. iPhone OS beats WM and Android is gonna beat iPhone OS

  • @ubcphysicsyangbo LOL just lol

  • @ubcphysicsyangbo are you high? the android beat iphone before it came out, its not gonna beat iphone,

  • @ubcphysicsyangbo webos is the best os but the hardware isnt up to par

  • @ubcphysicsyangbo considering that there are many wm cell phones and only one Iphone only on at&t, every one kicks iphone ass

  • @ubcphysicsyangbo nah never whe just installed android on our iphones

  • Cool!

  • what is that app called

  • it's not an app, it's the Android OS for handhelds.

  • I would prefer a sexier handset than the G1, though. Even the skins on the Android emulator looks better.

I really wish I could load Android on a blackberry storm or an iPhone... that would be awesome.

  • O.O

  • The G1 is just too cool. Best phone ever!!!

  • I'll get mine next week and I'm so excited! :D

  • this is making me think twice about my iphone.

    eeep.

  • I knw.

  • I agree, that UI isnt eye candy at all.

But it does have some kick ass new features.

Lets hope Android isn't as anti-addon as Chrome is.

  • I love his T-shirt :D

  • I am SO jealous, really, awesome dude, wish i had 1337 skills like that :P

  • That's really cool. The notification system is great.

  • hmm lets see here iPhone has the GREAT unlimited data and messaging for a whopping 90 a month versus the G1 35 a month for unlimited messaging and data...

what's good data plans to you; you freaking cheapscape!

  • G1's screen is freaken awesome what are you talking about? just kuz it doesn't look anything like iphone it doesn't mean it sux. It rox instead dude.

  • Christ, why do I even answer someone who writes like a 13 year old. Anyway, I don't use iphone. The problems are poor resolution and backlight, and more importantly its not multitouch.

  • Jesus fucken gay, Why do I even answer someone who answers who knows more languages than ezae.

resolution is great what are you talking about it's just a phone not a freaken high def tv. Backlight is great too you can adjust that in the settings. why do you need multi touch when you have all the settings that you can use without the touch.

  • G1 has the same resolution as iPhone, but has a slightly smaller screen. This means that the images/text are actually sharper (ie higher density)

  • multi touch is found to work, so next year its getting upgraded

  • whats ur source on that plz?

  • i'm not sure whether it's getting it, but there's a vid on youtube somewhere with it working.

  • thats not from the official android team tho is it? :-s

  • no, but it shows it's possible. I'm not that bothered though as I don't like the iphone/apple style multitouch, it is stupid, especially on the trackpaad of new macs, that has put me of macs for life

  • This phone is going to be a revolution... Dont believe me? Wait and see.

    Wait and see what happens...

  • yep, lets see what happens. hehe

    open source rox!

  • i just want me an android phone for verizon !

  • So that they can lock everything up and present you with a dumb phone, which is good for nothing. And by the way does anyone know why Verizon detests Wi-Fi?

  • dude i use verizon geez im not sayin there the best but they have the best signal in my area so im saying i would like a phone that runs on the android system. i dont know why they dont like wifi either, that just sucks.

  • There are a few Winmo devices from vzw that have wifi... samsung i760,htc 6800

  • competition breeds innovation...i think thats how the quote goes. Anyways, with apple and android AND windows mobile out there, i cant wait to see what comes out of all of this

  • So what happens to the battery life of the device with all those background services running?

  • Well, android is built well. For instance, the application is imaged into a file that remains idle, meanwhile a specific executable is running and only has to check for a new entity (Or as advanced as the exec. was built), therefore there is minimal battery usage while the program is running in the background. Also, when the application is opened once again, the image will be opened. Look at androidology. Sorry if it was too techy, I tried to make it undertrandable..

  • it doesnt really affect much i mean comparing it to iphone, i have a g1 and a friend of mine has iphone, we have full battery and we went online, IM, txt messaging and all that crap. my phone and his phone has prolly like 3 to 4 hours.

  • keep up the good works , i use an Iphone , this is very good for us user to find another phone that may compete with Ipohne. best wishes
