  • stalin would execute youtube programmer who wrote link-ranking algorithm. where is 5/10?! на трибунал!

  • The pronunciation of "Weserübung" is *atrocious*. My German is pretty basic, but this tears my ears.

  • Where is ? "(5/10) Battlefield II The Battle of Scandinavia Ep4 World War II" ??

  • Music in the Battlefield one series was much better :D

  • i believe, but i might be wrong, that the camera zooms in on the wrong man for general dietl, it's the man on the right.

  • Where is part 5?

  • And that if it would invasion failed because sweden borke the enigma maschine and would be ready

  • @NoRacismInThisWorld Our military wasn't ready for war until around 1948 actually.

  • @jimmyn89SWE you got a point. and there would never be an invasion because germany would lost the war in sixth months if they invaded sweden.UK estimate.

Because the iron was too important.

  • Germany wanted to invade sweden but then german intelligence found that the swedish mines wer e to blown in a invasion. And britain got all info about the mines so if they were capured the brits new everthing. They even build secret way in for british special forces if needed

  • What probably happened in the 5th part:

Russians started new offensive with a double amount of men and equipment, and a new commander. It eventually lead to the collapse of Mannerheim line in Summa.

Finnish were running out of ammo and reserves, and the casualties were starting to build up as Russians got closer and closer to Viipuri.

Finland signed a peace treaty, in which they lost 10% of their territory and had to give Soviet Union some islands of the Gulf of Finland and Hanko Peninsula.

  • Sweden played there cards right. They won the real war. Too stay out of a war.

  • Many people do not realise that until Barborsa happened, Nazis and Soviets were cooperating together.

  • @DumblyBrilliant true, hitler and stalin had an agreement,

  • @fardiemann Indeed. If you have not seen it I reccomend you watch The Soviet Story. If you have not seen it the best place to watch it I have found is on MEFEDIA dot com as it has the copy with English subs and it's free. It should be shown to all school children just before they leave school and are old enough to handle the darkness of the tale. Then when they get to Uni their Marxist teachers will have less of an impact on them than they do today.

  • @MultiMarcus99

    what?

It was not really in every way practical military nor political to invade sweden.

While Sweden lacked a substantial military attacking 3 countries at once would not in any way be wise.

The iron would be immediately cut off (one of the main reasons the ventured to scandinavia)

That the germans defended the swedes too all cost makes no sense

  • the iron ore was actually taken from kiruna, Sweden

    and not narvik!

  • @MrBernhardEwers

Yes, but in winter it was the only ice-free port where the iron ore could be shipped to from kiruna

  • kanto narvik pos?

  • Music at 4:10 is awesome.

  • quisling...now there is a name that dont ring well in the Norwegian language..

  • @xz569 why not?

  • @captainduku well he got world "famous" for doing a state coup via radio as the German invaded.

In short: while the government cabinet with the royal family was escaping the capital he went to the radio station and proclaimed he was the new prime minister and that we should welcome the German occupation army.

Quisling is a name that have turned into a term.

In most languages Quisling means today traitor to the people.

  • Wow british fleet is epic

  • Yes. Battlefield II makes frequent mistakes. I don't know who edited this but clearly they have no idea.

  • @HoustonGD This is a dreadfully common mistake in many films - particularly showing German'ys eastern border as it is today although giving the Kaliningrad Oblast back to Germany as 'East Prussia'.

Nonetheless the map of Finland is that where the border lay in April 1940 following the Soviet aggression against that country.

  • at 02:46 The speech person says Narvik...

    Im from there

  • Im from the city... where germany found iron ore... = Narvik

  • yeah, i get it. sorry! im a paranoid F***!

  • Vidkun Quisling = traitor

  • Quisling was universally despised. Even the Germans disliked him.
