Thanks a lot Matt for all what you are providing. It is absolutely great inspirational videos. You have provided us with great tools and resources of earning money. In general, we Americans are programmed and immersed in our daily routine of life and work. We do not think outside the shell. You Matt, brilliantly, broke that shell for everyone who got to watch your videos. Many thanks for you and for Connie..
Hey there, Really appreciate the videos that you post. I have some questions for you. I have been out panning for gold, and every where i pan I get a lot of black sand. about 3 table spoons per half cup of material? Also i have found a heavy tone with my gold bug 2 in black shale...any thoughts? Let me know. if you wouldn't mind...thanks again for all of your videos
Very inspirational! Thank you and the Mrs. for the wonderful videos... Could you recommend a cutting device? Do you have any suggestions for rock hounding precious stones near Billings, Montana. I'm visiting relatives next week. Thanks again
@doscoronitas : when we go to Montana for gems, we have been using "Rockhounding Montana" as a guide to get us reasonably close (if not right on) igneous or mineralized ground and then take it from there by eye and testing. The guide notes three sites in Billings, and 4 others reasonably close for everything from fossils to gems you might want to check that out at the library or click the treasure link and click on that book and see if you can get inside it - they let you read some pages free.
@flagold : (Continued) As for a cutting device - I use a Facetron, and Mrs. Mattson uses my old Lee. The Lee can be had for $300-500 (they were mainly old commercial machines used in gangs so each person made a different cut at the end of the line a finished stone). All the machines are good (Facetron, Graves, Ultra-Tech, whatever) - it's not so much the machine, it is the discipline to match all the cuts to each other (by eye). The first cut is the important one, the rest are matched meets.
Wow Matt. Great video.. all of your videos are very very interesting and helpful. I would love to get into doing what you do. Using your hands and thinking critically and playin in the sand! If you need a prospecting buddy, let me know. Thanks a bunch and keep the videos coming!
Nice job on this video, gives me great inspiration on doing things like this never knew about some on the topics you talk about. I will keep on watching!!!
Just great Matt! Your videos are the best......absolutely. They provide a lot of inspiration, motivation, and information! I'm eligible for retirement before long and want to see that big ole "west" next summer. Thank you so much for what you are doing here on youtube.
@Biggman1611 : you are quite welcome. I really hope young people get into this and get some independence from the government paper money . . . Good on going out West - very best of luck to you!
Absolutely incredible product! I would greatly appreciate it if you could make a more in-depth tutorial on how to make advanced wraps like that!
