  • in gods presence

  • In His presence is the fullness of joy, His joy is my strength. Many blessings and thank you for posting the song.

  • Thanks for the kind comment. It's one of our favorite songs.

  • Merci infiniment que Dieu vous bénisse pour cette inspiration spéciale

  • Merci. Je ne escrive en francais. In English I say I thank you for your support and your good wishes from Cote d'Ivoire.

  • Thanks for your comments. We play music we like and feel comfortable with, and I think we do it fairly well. We hope you like it and get something from it. Blessings from California.

  • Amazing- that we the Body are splitting hairs over whether this is "passe" or not! Since when is sincere hunger and seeking God's Presence EVER passe'? We (the whole Body) need to stop being so factional and realize that God speaks to eachof us individually and personally... jsut because this song may not touch YOU, doesn't mean He isn't reaching for you! Look for HIM and not for how it "feels" to your pampered flesh.

  • i think some people are being a little harse here, if this is a main line church {and from what the OP is saying it is} then this is very comteporary for them

for people who are like me {southern baptist, assemblies of God, E-free...list goes on} this is music we stopped doing 10 years ago

    its all relative

still, somebody needs to do a edgier version of this song, the potential to rock out on this one is pretty epic

  • Thanks for your comments. Even the AofG stuff we do from Hillsong may be somewhat retro (we haven't picked up anything from Hillsong United). Christian radio tends to play a non-stop diet of "cowboy songs" from guys I know are wearing leather brims over their eyes or wispy-voiced young women whose voices are still in development. Blessings to you and thanks for your honesty!

  • in nebraska we dont get a whole lot of cowboy christian music thankfully {sorry, just not a big fan of nasal singing}

as far as hillsong goes though they will produce pretty good stuff, though united {which is the youth group i think} tends to come out with the fun stuff.

personally i like doing paul wilbur's stuff {i think he does this song in fact} because he has alot of tribal stuff going on with it, so as a musician its good stuff

  • Take a look at Lynn DeShazo (she's got a good webpage) if you like introspective and contemplative songs. Merry Christmas!

  • I'm seeing the word contemporary a lot, what do you mean by contemporary service (is it a type of service :)

  • Contemporary means different things to different people, just like the word "deacon," which varies from denomination to denomination. We play in a Presbyterian Church with an order of service that reads like a meeting agenda; contemporary means we use music written in the past 30 years or so and it carries the service, most of it praise songs rather than traditional 19th century stuff about doing one's duty and the Social Gospel.

  • oh ok, i understand now, (but the '19th century stuff' isn't bad though... is it?)

    thanks for your quick reply

  • There's still some traditional stuff I like, such as 16th and 17th century German pieces and Appalachian melodies like Singing Billy Walker's "Southern Harmony" pieces. Good British composers like John Ireland, who zipped out a melody for the 17th century poem "My Song Is Love Unknown" on the back of an envelope over lunch at Oxford one day.

  • :) thanks, God bless (have a blessed week)

  • That was beautiful keep worshiping GOd.

  • Thank you so much. Lynn DeShazo writes some really great songs. We've recorded a dozen or more of them and posted them here on youtube. You might want to take a look at some of them. Blessings always!

  • This is the contemporary?

  • Not sure what you're asking. There are a number of praise worship songs with this title, I'm sure. The only other version of this particular song, last I checked, was in Spanish.

  • You said this was done in your contemporary service. The song is from 1994. It's really not contemporary.

  • That was awesome! I cried & was moved while I was listening. May God bless you for those talents & continue to be a blessing to others.

  • Thank you so much. Although we recorded this about a year ago, by an amazing coincidence we sang it just this morning at our contemporary service. We have a number of other songs up by Lynn DeShazo, a great songwriter. Keyword her up; she's got a very good website with full-length samples. Blessings to you and (I notice from your favorites) your artwork!
