SLS is just so pretty and so "makes-me-cry"-loud, that you give a damn about the slow Gearbox that disassembles as soon as you took the car on a racetrack for more than a few hours.

I do like it but it isn't something that you would want, a mp4-12c would be much quicker and its a mclaren, it would be better to drive and this is just not really that likeable, it would be better to spend the extra money and get the ferrari, you would get your money back when you sell it.

@McLarenMercedes5001 I agree that the McLaren looks exactly like an Evora, in the same way that Arnold Schwarzenegger looks exactly like Santa Claus. Guess what sunshine: The McLaren will decimate both the Ferrari and Merc, both in the turns and on the straights. I notice that your YouTube name refers to the SLR, which is only a good car b/c of McLaren's efforts. Mercedes tried to ruin it with useless luxuries that shouldn't be in a supercar.

@marshknute I fully agree with what you said about the new Mclaren, this thing will most probably become the Benchmark in Supercars, and I like the looks of that Car. BUT the SLR managed to be something that is really rare, being a Supercar that can really be driven every day. Yeah it´s slower than some of the "Hardcores", but not by that much, but it´s that much more useable than most of the others, so it´s not only a sunday morning tool. That makes it kind of special to me.

The MP4-12c will not be as well made on the interior build quality as the SLS. The pictures i saw so far were astonishing, but only from the exterior view.

Although the SLS i saw in Frankfurt (IAA 2009) was absolutely perfect from the interior build quality.

Sorry but I think McLaren will drop without Mercedes-Benz when it comes to building a whole car.

I like it. Looks great sounds, great. love the doors too. I couldnt see myself ever getting one though, the MP4-12c and the 458 are a similar price and 100 times more exciting. My vote goes to the MP4-12c, though im not sure about the engine, not a fan of turbos.

I cant imagine the SLS being used as a dedicated track car, but it would be an excellent transportation for you to take to your local country club. The ride height definitely makes it daily drivable like the Mclaren SLR. But I believe the SLS was designed single handedly by AMG. The exterior do resemble a bit like a beefed up Honda S2000 from afar
