What if you put Gisele, Karolina, Ana Beatriz, Adriana and Alessandra in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2012. Let they have one own segment with they best outfits and call it "Angels never die" and put Seal as the artist. Now wouldn't that be great, to just think for like 3min that they never left.
In the scenes where the girls had messy hair and no makeup like during the fittings for their costumes, they were just so smashingly beautiful that my mouth dropped open, and when Ed started talking about Adriana and they showed her, I actually got shivers! I'm a straight girl so you can understand that sometimes I get a little sore that how is it possible that they could be so beautiful while the rest of us girls are just lala, but mostly I just admire and revere these models.
I understand the girl-next-door appeal of Behati, Chanel, Erin, & Lindsay, but the arrogance of Candice and the clumsiness of Lily just boggles me. The new girls are beautiful and all, but the girls in this video are absolute GODDESSES. They are elusive yet approachable, slender yet not alarmingly bone-thin, seductive yet charming and each and every one so uniquely and unforgettably beautiful. I wish VS all the luck in the world once Doutzen, Adriana, Miranda, and Alessandra go off on their own.

@kevn101 I think what is a shame about todays shows and these shows back then is that these older shows had such great models aka supermodels like the ones you just mentioned, and then they bring us some catalog models it seems like for these newer shows. So our expectations are probably a little high for not only the shows but what we also expect from these so called upcoming new supermodels.

@gain881 Actually, Toni and Maryna aren't even VS Angels unfortunately. Maybe they will be in the future. But I completely agree about Lily, she's so forgettable to me. Nothing special and her walk is bad. Chanel is a good high fashion model, but she can be way over the top on the runway. Her body isn't that great for lingerie modeling. And Marissa Miller yes thank God she's gone lol.

Naomi's a seriously good catwalker. I also like Gisele's walk a lot. The majority of the models here are super professional models. Adriana's walk has become a bit sloppy on the later shows, but I blame the "kissing" and "pointing". She looks more part of a parade now than a model. Her catwalk is not as refined as here - specially 2010 show

Even Adriana who use to be more subtle like in this video was walking out holdin up her arms up like she was at a rock concert. Naomi and Tyra's walk alone here would destroy all the new models entire careers. I'm glad I stopped watching after 2006. The shows now should be considered blasphemy!!!

@neecee401100 true there were a few cases of models blowing kisses and winking (mostly from the main angels like adriana, tyra and heidi) but there is a Big difference in the way the shows are now. When 2007 came along the segments felt noticeably more hammy and cheesy, plus they increased the audience sound so when they cheered you can hear them more, in the earlier shows like 2003, 2005 and 2006 the music was the main sound you heard not the audience egging on the models.
VS is like a circus now, or a concert. don't we have enough of those? VS use to be one of a kind, the only lingerie show that meant anything. now its just like this horrible car crash show, i just can't look at it the way i use to its quite painful. oh and 'Get your sh*t back together again VS!' but i would still say "YES!OMG!!" if they asked

Now all outfits looks like party city store customs.
No supermodels, very few or none top models.

Corny guest appearances. They even focus on celebs in the audience.
The whole runway looks like a school talent show (2010 for example).

@PrettyPurpleful they do suck ass.... its cool one one or two girls point tand wave to the audience but when most of them do it its so elementary school...no supermodels...the girls have no asses or boobs and look like they need a hamburger to make it down the runway.its ashame after adriana and alessandra leave its gunna not be worth watching

@PrettyPurpleful You are absolutely right. I just watched the 2011 show and while the costumes were nice every girl was bouncing down the runway blowing air kisses and waving like it was a pageant. Even Adriana who use to be more subtle like in this video was walking out holdin up her arms up like she was at a rock concert. Naomi and Tyra's walk alone here would destroy all the new models entire careers. I'm glad I stopped watching after 2006. The shows now should be considered blasphemy!!!

Hey, check out her interviews now, especially the 1 on Oprah, the one for her 25th celebration during F.N.O in 2010, the interview she did for the Naomi diaries for W magazine and you will see that she admits to her issues...FLAWS & ALL, just like when she went on the Tyra show to show us all her growth, maturity & humility.... @nakatsu2008 hey, but don't you that this is the difference of victoria's secret and the other fashion shows? Victoria's secret fashion show isn't the bets show in the world just because the models or the outfit, but because the public became "in love" with the charm of everything.

@victoriasecretlovely I think he meant the more recent Victoria Secret shows, with the girls waving, dancing and pointing at the crowd.. I do agree that I miss the older shows (2002-2006) where the girls were sexy but not overdoing it on the catwalk.

Adriana, ALEEEE!!!, Isabeli, Izabel, Ana Beatriz :) Karolina is pretty good, too, but she is from another league Karolina is like an All-Woman, she has this powerful Women Look - never immature, always profound. Tyra is super hot, but she takes too much over the catwalk,, still a great model. Naomi is very subtle, I like her style - always calm, always "Im just this hot, l know, I know" look

@DNYAP Glad someone is not only a fan of the fashion show but recognizes the models who r just models & the models that are "Supermodels!" I agree about the Brazilian stronghold but you left out Fernanda Taveres. Karolina is a bombbbbbbbb on the runway, EXPLOSIVE. Heidi i luv, but this is the only season that I didn't like her runway presence. Carmen Kass & Angela Lindvall & Oluchi & Liya have sexy walks. Tyra, eeh, however NAOMI is a seductive panther on the runway, fierce/calm/calculated!!

8 PEOPLE SAW THIS AND THOUGHT THEY COULD DO BETTER AND REALIZED THEY COIULDN'T.....Naomi is the fiercest, sexiest and most animalisitc catwalker of all the models....only girls working it nowadays that can even come close to her on the catwalk are Daria, Natasha Poly, Erin Wasson, Coco Rocha, Gisele, Raquel, Angela, Jessica Stan and Sessilee.

IMO This is when the show was at it's best, Now it just feels like a joke. Models like Gisele, Naomi, Adriana & Alessandra have their own uniqueness and they're professionals, the new models can't top them, sure they're very beautiful but VSFS is just not the same anymore.

@neecee401100 true there were a few cases of models blowing kisses and winking (mostly from the main angels like adriana, tyra and heidi) but there is a Big difference in the way the shows are now. When 2007 came along the segments felt noticeably more hammy and cheesy, plus they increased the audience sound so when they cheered you can hear them more, in the earlier shows like 2003, 2005 and 2006 the music was the main sound you heard not the audience egging on the models.

VS is like a circus now, or a concert. don't we have enough of those? VS use to be one of a kind, the only lingerie show that meant anything. now its just like this horrible car crash show, i just can't look at it the way i use to its quite painful. oh and 'Get your sh*t back together again VS!' but i would still say "YES!OMG!!" if they asked
