  • This is just the thing.. I am a poor student/waitress whom is so broke that I DON't have a bank account.. But the differences between being poor in a RICH country as to being poor in a poor country are striking.. I never go hungry... See like you I just wanted to help someone around the world whom is a bit poorer than I am.. But it seems to me that KIVA should be more flexible as to how they accept funds.. Adonation is adonation.. Please don't misunderstand KIVA IS GREATTTT I applaud their work

  • A while back I tried to LOAN 25 $ dollars.... I contacted KIVA headquarters in SAN FRANCISCO, California.. They informed me that they Were NO longer accepting MONEY ORDERS because it cost them a lot of money to CASH these... Which makes want to ask COULDN'T kiva form an alliance with a bank that would NOT charge them as much for this service??...

I am CURRENTLY college student WITHOUT a credit card, I Can not contribute... KIVA MUST FIND AWAY TO ACCEPT MONEY ORDERS AS DONATIONS..

  • First of all I want to make clear that I do not represent Kiva in any way.

To answer your question: first you link your bank account to a PayPal account, then you use PayPal to make Kiva loans.

  • Another option is to use your bank's debit card as a credit card: most checking accounts give you a debit card, which can then be used as a credit card to loan money to Kiva.
