  • I was a teen in the sixties and the music was unbelievable! It seems that every other day there was a new song coming out on the radio. To this day...I can honestly put a song at the time of a significant event growing up. Everyone should have had the opportunity to grow up in the sixties. Those were the days!

  • With Annette Funicello in the white dress. She is about 15 years older than I am, and I was watching the Mickey Mouse Club in re-runs, when I fell in love with her. My first celebrity crush.

  • RIP Freddie. There's nothing like the "Freddie" dance.

  • Johnny Martin & The Tremors...SNM!

  • HAHAHAHA, lol. The left man is a big FAIL in this video!

  • Frankie and Annette

  • Love this song. He's doing the "Freddie". "It's an easy dance, give yourself a chance, do the Freddie".

  • I was 11 years old in 1965. That's roughly the age when we begin to form an attraction to a certain type of music. I fondly remember this year and all the fun I had as a kid. I'll always like this era, before the hippies appeared, as it still depicted a sort of innocence in our culture. I was sorry that this was so short-lived and that something more sinister was on the horizon. Where was Janis Joplin in 1965? She didn't have the guts to come out until everything hit the fan a few years later.

  • NO MATTER WHAT PEOPLE SAY

Freddie IS THE BEST PERFORMAR AND I LIKE HIM SO MUCH!!!

  • Hey, it's the inspiration for Milli Vanilli!

  • Frankie needs a few more lessons, he seems rather clueless!

  • Thumbs up! I think cute may be the right word for this. it's got Freddie, pretty dancers, and best of all, Annette!

  • Annette had ears - I lusted in my heart

  • HellO!!!Britanie!!!!

  • Freddie may be the lead singer, but everybody's got their eyes on Annette!!

  • Annette Funicello

  • Freddy was a hoot and he loved music and made it fun...

  • that was fun . it's a shame that Annette can't dance like that anymore. so sad !

  • Love how the drummer cant dance but he still tries

  • Sedaka, Frankie, Buddy Holly and maybe Lennon himself, as later Peewee Herman somehow they knew how to play the dorky humor by which Harold Lloyd and even the Stooges were known to master. It was old fashioned but classic white faced clown fare.

  • thanks so much for uploading! been looking fo rthis every where!!

  • A fun song from these Manchester lads.

  • do the Freddy! heheheheh

  • annette sure got her alottment of female charms....all natual...no plastic added!

  • this guy needs his man card revoked

  • @TheRisingforce2000

He spent his life making people happy.

    What more could one ask?

  • that dance at the beginning was an early version of the michael jackson thriller dance

  • what am I watching?

  • DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT INSTRUMENT FRANKY AVALON PLAYED? ANSWER: THE ANNETTE FUNI - CELLO. WHAT INSTRUMENT DID BILL CLINTON PLAY? ANS: THE WHORE-MONNICA. ENJOY!

  • @HEARTHEANGELSVOICES Great jokes, my friend!

  • The blond woman to the left of Frankie Avalon was doing the intense freddie.

  • Brilliant! :)

  • I Love it.... The only thing that might have made this post better was if you Billed the group's name correctly It's "Freddie & The Dreamers" (No "Y")

  • my dancing is just like freddies, his moves are possibly better than mine, bless him

  • The Olde Boys at work in their most devious ,though ingenious, guise.

  • WTF?! Awesome song

  • Special guest Frankie Avalon? What about ANNETTE? She's the dancing gal w/the amazing set of... um, scarves. Frankie was nothing w/out Annette Funicello and during this time - when they were making the "beach party" movies - they never made appearances separately. I think it might even have been in their contracts... great clip btw!

  • @texfx

Can't believe Annette put up with this-she was probably either stoned or pretending she was kicking Walt in the ass.

  • This is so cute! <3

  • why does everything have to be analysed? cant we just enjoy the music if it is fun or silly what is wrong with that. smile on your brother let a little love in your heart, man,the world is a hitparade, who wrote the book of love<we didnt start the fire, their coming to take me away ha ha ho ho hee hee

  • "The Freddie" - the shortest-lived dance craze ever.

  • Freddy was such a spaz. He was only 5' 3" but he had a nine inch dick.

  • That calisthenics dance is very catching isn't it?!

  • This shit really bothers me. The Vietnam war was happening and all Americans could think about was this censored, fake shit. Look at the comments, "what a magical decade" Just what the government wanted at the time, a distraction. The good old days weren't so grand if you were a minority, woman, Vietnamese civilian, or soldier.

  • @Grungadin You are talking about 45 years ago. Time to give up the anger. Life goes on. Best wishes.

  • @Grungadin This was their way of coping with it. It wasn't a distraction, trust me everyone noticed what was going on in the world. The best music comes during the hardest times. Artist would entertain the soliders and still do. Music made people feel better about everything that was going on. Music is the sound of the footsteps of life, and life is FULL of hard times, and war, and hate. There's nothing secret about it. Anyone can see it if they stop and look around. Just remember that.

  • @Grungadin Yawn yawn yawn war happens everywhere get over it,most have RIP Freddie

  • @paulhamerton

But war wouldn't happen if there weren't so many delusional fools thinking the world is good thanks to crap like this. Americans have an especially hard time facing reality. War wasn't the only problem during that time that was ignored by the majority. And no most don't get over it. Go tell that to any Jew, or anybody who was related to a casualty in Iraq or Afghanistan. Wars drag on and on, and the aftermath is almost as terrible as the war itself. What an idiotic statement.

  • @Grungadin im no idiot the crap usually comes from Americans and Freddie was a legend who was and still is loved here.Go sprout your bullshit elsewhere

  • I remember this one. Cute!!

  • Does anyone have the other Hulabaloo version to this? It's funnier than this one.

  • Was Annette hot or what?

  • @passover77 Annette who?

  • @Derro1954 Annette Funicello, former mouseketeer and star of the "Beach" movies. She's dancing with Frankie Avalon.

  • As a teenager in Liverpool during the sixties I remember it well, what a magic decade and what a privilege to have been part of it all.

  • As a teenager in Liverpool during the sixties I remember it well, what a magic decade and what a privilege to have part of it all.

  • Poor Frankie!! HAHAHA!!! Oh well - I give him a gold star for being a good sport and going along with it...

  • I have this song in a British Invasion Cd but I´ve never seen the Band that sang the tune, Now that I discover this Clip dances and the bands look is kindda goofy , funny this guy didnt take it very serious but is still a Good song!

  • Man, I wish I could go back then =/

Love the 60s but born in the 90s =/

  • stupedest dance ewer

  • @tauljuka You must be very young. There were stupider dances. The monkey, the monster mash, and others. Times change, These are the dances that paved the way for the dances you do today, just as your great-great grandparents thought the cha cha and the tango were hot.

  • It´s so special... The meaning of life

  • Annette looks funny doing the Freddie LOL

  • OK, I've got new respect for Frankie and Annette!

  • Wow, this brings back memories! I remember the song but didn't know who did it, and I do remember "Do the Freddie" dance. Kind of corny but fun!

  • I remember doing this dance at a party when i was teenager and getting my ass kicked. Now I see why I deserved it!

  • One of my favourite Freddie & The Dreamers tracks. RIP Freddie Garrity

  • My 1st boner

  • WOW ! I was one of the thousands of 14 year old males who went to bed early that nite...

  • Comment removed

  • I have no doubts that this idiotic "dance" was invented on a bet between record producers on just how ridiculous the youth of the day will go to be hip or fashionable. I know that Frankie and Annette made some dreadful campy movies but i am embarrassed to see them doing the Freddie.

  • ROTFLMAO!!!!!.........the dancing of course!

  • Thank you, thank you drugs, for this.

  • Is that Annette

  • If you think this is funny. CHeck out Soup Sales and "The Mouse"

  • It looks like the thunderbirds pinched his moves.

Freddie taught us TRUE LOVE AND WARM HEART. Even if I could not understand lyrics we could understand

    their performance and WARM HEART!

If they come to Japan, they will be more

legend like THE BEATLES. All Japanese

fans was lost to see GREAT BANDS.

  • First time i've ever seen this video. its great!!!!!!!!!!!! i will deffinetly use the routine at my kids parties... they'll have so much fun! i love it!!!

  • Freddy was a bit of a looney but was hugely entertaining. Rest in peace mate!

  • Freddy & the Dreamers were pretty much bottom of the barrel when it came to British Invasion groups. But you've got to hand it to Frankie & Annette for even ATTEMPTING to do the "Freddy"!

  • Very Corny, but you got to hand it to him he had a great imagination.

  • Rocksinger: It's not corny and I am gonna bring back The Freddy for the hiphop generation! It'll be a scream to see them do it in those saggy jeans!

  • Still Corning, but good luck to ya !!!

  • I have always loved Freddie & The Dreamers and missed hearing their songs.

  • Oh no! How is possible that I remember this performance - that those gray cells from forty plus years ago are still there? Not on your info post, Ryan (you're just a "baby") but the pretty Italian girl with Frankie is Annette Funicello - Frankie's on screen flame - heartthrob of every teenage boy of my generation and former Mouseketeer - just like Britney what's-'er-name! Hugs to you and my crazy Kiwi mates from my glorious days in Sydney!
