@bestamerica no. there are different road laws which govern and set a baseline or requirement for cars to meet, for instance, you require 2 amber tunr signals in the front of the vehicle along with headlights, aswell as 2 turn signals and stop lights in the rear of a vehicle, the color of the rear turn signals doesnt matter in the US, however the laws may be different where you are from. and not, you dont have to be perfect, but please at least try, if you intend to live in the USA

Maybe not with a stock tune you wont redline but there is this cool thing they make for our cars called "tuners" example: SCT Xcal3, you can change your shift points, your shift firmness, and many more things. Pedal shifting is not faster then a computer shifting for you. If you want another example for that, turbo cars, they wont blow off with an auto but they will with a manual.... reason being, the auto doesnt give it enough time cuz its FASTER
Not true, a stock manual transmission and a stock automatic, yes the manual is faster but an automatic with a certain RPM Stall Converter is just as fast as a manual.
Well yeah with the RPM it is. But im talking stock. I drove a 200 Hp V6 automatic and a little 4 cyl jetta manual and i can tell you that the Jetta is faster to 20mph that's because it's manual and the automatic they hesitate a little the first second of accerlerating.
stock tunes suck, but there are other factors in that 0-20 mph for example the 6 cylinder mustang has a 7.5 inch rear end with an open diff so only one wheel gets power to get the car moving and the autos have 3.31 gears (gas mileage saving gears) so alot is preventing the poor 6 cylinder from having a good launch
i don't know, but a manual mustang drives much better, if u race with it u need a manual, cause you have to accelerate very perfect, and if you're not a good driver, please don't buy a mustang, it's a car from heaven ;)

nowadays the automatics are really doing the job... they even made the Nissan GTR as an automanual... if you're into street racing (that doesen't mean cars under $40,000), you'll notice its mostly automanuals.
Automatics shift faster than 90% of people who drive Manuals. Unless your a perfect driver it's almost impossible to keep up with toady's automatics, other than the loss of power that results from automatics.
@DavidIsACult an automatic aint quicker than a manual, whoever said that is lieing, if you stomp on the gas with an auto matic what does it do in between gear, it lags and over time screws up the transmission, where as a manual you push the clutch throw the shifter into the next gear and boom
@DrwMrchnt3 it lags more in a manual dawg. With the automatic, the tranny shifts quicker. You wont lose the 1 or 2 seconds as you would with the manual tranny. Even if you gots short-shifters, pro-clutches, nd upgraded throw-knobs, you will spend atleast one second to shift. And even if you down shift, all you will be doing is forcing the motor more and not going anywhere. The automatic is quicker than the manual tranny.
@pollodgo13 yes but after you have taken off and pretty much tortured that automatic transmission, guess what happens, it does not shift correctly, it lags more than a manual transmission and its pretty much screwed. Then you have to pay for either a new transmission or get it fixed. so im guessing youve never drove an automatic mustang with a tore up transmission from this problem!
@pollodgo13 orly...why is it when i take a 07 mustang gt out and smoke every automatic i can find? unless you dumped money into that auto trans its never going to be quicker then a manual. the difference and gear ratios, you get more inbetween. more usable power. now say you take a 5sp auto from these stangs and beef up the clutches, shift kit, and high stall torque, you will give a manual trans a hard time.
I owned a manual 5.0 and I now own a automatic, yeah the automatic has got better launnch and all, but man I miss driving my manual so bad, it's just so much more fun.
Of course they know how to shift, otherwise they would never get anywhere. But I'm willing to bet I could an IDENTICAL Mustang to mine that is Manual (that being the only difference), even though they are like .02 sec faster. It takes like 1/3 of a second to shift if your really fast, and they're going to be in 3rd gear at least by the end of a race, that's an extra second on the clock right there...
the problem with automatics is that they have long gears. you say it takes 1/3 of a second to shift a manual, I am not sure in the exact time. I also know that automatics have more than one gear so I assume it also takes time switching gears, plus the drive train loss and extra weight of an auto trans. The reality is that mostly any manual would take on any automatic of the same car. Manuals are faster for the most part unless u bring auto trans in porsches n ferraris like f1 paddle shifters.
i have personally raced an automatic gt in my manual gt. both cars are the same year 06. I tore him from a dig and from a roll I also pulled him. both cars are stock.........

05 GT's have 3:55 gear and 300hp, stock 04 GT has like a 3:31 & 260hp I suppose the 05 GT would be a bit faster but a good driver could make the 04 GT and hang with a 05.

Hey polska. If you want to buy a Mustang, then buy a V8 and nevermind gas mileage. Fast cars should be considered like big toys, not family sedans. For the record though, I get about 32mpg highway and 20mpg urban (with a perf tune). It can get bad when I kick it though. And excuse blk67fastback for his offensive answer, he's not done with his prepubescent struggle yet and still believes that despising someone makes him tall. Hope you rock out with your V8 soon. It seems Mellow but beleive me yesterday I was at a dealership and the noise output was considerably higher. Its simply that his camera cannot show high variation because it has a noise limiter to lower distortion.
I noticed at the high rev 40 sec into video..... your right side is carrying more of the exaust load.... I would say you should put in an X pipe or H Pipe to balance the exaust. This will also balance the sound and rumble........ ; -)

DevPack a supercharger never really "kicks in". The difference between superchargers and turbos(besides the fact S/C's is Intake air and Turbos are exhaust gases) is the turbo needs to spool up before hitting boost. It has a vacuum before. Supercharger applys boost through out all RPM ranges.(No Vacuum). So its not "kicking in" its just taking time to get to mid-full boost.

Maybe not with a stock tune you wont redline but there is this cool thing they make for our cars called "tuners" example: SCT Xcal3, you can change your shift points, your shift firmness, and many more things. Pedal shifting is not faster then a computer shifting for you. If you want another example for that, turbo cars, they wont blow off with an auto but they will with a manual.... reason being, the auto doesnt give it enough time cuz its FASTER

Well yeah with the RPM it is. But im talking stock. I drove a 200 Hp V6 automatic and a little 4 cyl jetta manual and i can tell you that the Jetta is faster to 20mph that's because it's manual and the automatic they hesitate a little the first second of accerlerating.

stock tunes suck, but there are other factors in that 0-20 mph for example the 6 cylinder mustang has a 7.5 inch rear end with an open diff so only one wheel gets power to get the car moving and the autos have 3.31 gears (gas mileage saving gears) so alot is preventing the poor 6 cylinder from having a good launch

@DrwMrchnt3 it lags more in a manual dawg. With the automatic, the tranny shifts quicker. You wont lose the 1 or 2 seconds as you would with the manual tranny. Even if you gots short-shifters, pro-clutches, nd upgraded throw-knobs, you will spend atleast one second to shift. And even if you down shift, all you will be doing is forcing the motor more and not going anywhere. The automatic is quicker than the manual tranny.

Then you have to pay for either a new transmission or get it fixed. so im guessing youve never drove an automatic mustang with a tore up transmission from this problem!

But I'm willing to bet I could an IDENTICAL Mustang to mine that is Manual (that being the only difference), even though they are like .02 sec faster. It takes like 1/3 of a second to shift if your really fast, and they're going to be in 3rd gear at least by the end of a race, that's an extra second on the clock right there...

the problem with automatics is that they have long gears. you say it takes 1/3 of a second to shift a manual, I am not sure in the exact time. I also know that automatics have more than one gear so I assume it also takes time switching gears, plus the drive train loss and extra weight of an auto trans. The reality is that mostly any manual would take on any automatic of the same car. Manuals are faster for the most part unless u bring auto trans in porsches n ferraris like f1 paddle shifters.

05 GT's have 3:55 gear and 300hp, stock 04 GT has like a 3:31 & 260hp I suppose the 05 GT would be a bit faster but a good driver could make the 04 GT and hang with a 05.

well by 05 i mean the generation. the 04 cobra is the best modern muscle car in quite a while, but its still part of the 04 generation. and it was a limited edition. look at the 05's limited editions. the bullitt? the shelby GT500? and the 71 boss wasn't as good as the '70. it was too big. and yeah, i gotta confess i do have a bit of a bias for the old classic stangs hahaha.

Hey polska. If you want to buy a Mustang, then buy a V8 and nevermind gas mileage. Fast cars should be considered like big toys, not family sedans. For the record though, I get about 32mpg highway and 20mpg urban (with a perf tune). It can get bad when I kick it though. And excuse blk67fastback for his offensive answer, he's not done with his prepubescent struggle yet and still believes that despising someone makes him tall. Hope you rock out with your V8 soon. I noticed at the high rev 40 sec into video..... your right side is carrying more of the exaust load.... I would say you should put in an X pipe or H Pipe to balance the exaust. This will also balance the sound and rumble........ ; -)

DevPack a supercharger never really "kicks in". The difference between superchargers and turbos(besides the fact S/C's is Intake air and Turbos are exhaust gases) is the turbo needs to spool up before hitting boost. It has a vacuum before. Supercharger applys boost through out all RPM ranges.(No Vacuum). So its not "kicking in" its just taking time to get to mid-full boost.

I don't own a shitty Corvette you are right, I own a car that actually has 21st century technology and actually works: G35TT. $80 000 Corvettes are left in the wake of the VQ engine. 523rwhp, 0-60 in 4.1 seconds.
