Performing that duty to the hilt is the difference between attempting and excelling and Benevidez did so like a boss. We should all strive to meet standards and beyond like he did. @John234pwns I would have to say that the number one thing you can do in those situations is to be mentally prepared. Your body will never go where your mind has not already been. Check out Col. Grossman's book "On Killing"... it talks about the warrior mindset and the psychological aspects of taking another human life in combat.

I watched this with a group of friends, most either Mil. or LE. The silence after the video was crushing; we just sat there for a good minute dead silent. The last point was the best, it’s not just about war or being a soldier, it’s about being THAT kind of person. Someone who will give it their all and understanding that this type of training, attitude and mindset transcends the battlefield, it allows you to protect your family and your community.
