@ericagem03 hmm maybe its the way you are holding the straightener? Curl your hair out so the side as opposed to straight down. If they doesnt work, you may want to consider getting product. Keep practicing! It will come :)

@TheBrainFlow yes! i keep saying that I will do another video to show the FULL style but I just havent gotten around to it yet. Ive failed you all :( I do promise, however, that I will try to film another one shortly. I dont really change the way i angle the straightener from top to bottom layers. Are you trying to curl at the end of your hair as opposed to the middle section of the strand? That may cause it to bend. Ill do my best to film another one...without barking dogs :)

@prettygirlbrieX3 I use a lighter brown on the base of my lid and a matte darker brown in the crease. I used a black pencil for eye liner and then took a brush and smudged the liner in so it blends rather than showing a straight line. I usually use Urban Decay liner or Mac;s engraved.

@BrokeNGliTteR Have you tried using any product? Surf Spray by Bumble & Bumble helps hold curls. THey also have products such as Prep that will help products adhere to your hair without weighing it down. Theres thickening spray, shampoo, conditioner and serum. The thickening Serum works like latisse- you put it on at night and in 6 weeks your hair will start to thicken. Also, make sure you are using a hair spray that will help hold your curls! Try Spray de Mode or texture creme.

@2014michele Thank you!! Actually this makeup was recycled from the night before. I have a terrible habit of sleeping in my makeup..or eye makeup that is. I used too faced full frontal and a cheap brown Matte shadow. You can get a similar look with any browns you find at a drug store. I did a quick tutorial on easy shadow. It wasnt the best but hopefully it helps. Use a lighter golden brown on your lid and the matte color on your crease.

@873Lindsay Hi lindsay, are you holding the straightener longer, smoothing it out on the top? Using the straightener to curl your hair should smooth it out (even at the bottom). I would definitely try using product, I have never encountered this problem before. You can try using Bumble & Bumble's thickening spray on your roots to keep the lift and their defrizz or argon oil at the bottom of your hair to alleviate frizz and puff after you curl. Let me know if that helps.

@BriaBites17 I do the same method to the back of my hair that I did in the video, I just pull all of my hair forward in front of my shoulders and curl. At first, it was easier for me to separate it in layers. It takes me about 15 minutes to do my hair. However, I have had lots of practice and it may take more time to do at first until you get used to it. As for product, it all depends what type of hair you have-straight, thin, wavy, frizzy?

@macsuperstar11 hi! Have you tried using Bumble & Bumble surf spray? I used to not be a fan of any sort of product. But...this stuff is LITERALLY a miracle in a bottle. If your hair actually curls when you curl it, then spray some squirts of surf spray on it AFTER you curl it. This will add natural texture in your hair and should hold your curls. It hasnt failed me yet! Ive curled the straightest of hair.

If that doesnt work, try spraying surf spray in your hair when its damp before you curl it. You can also look at Bumble & Bumble texture creme. Use this in damp hair as well and let it some what air dry. Curl afterwards. This texture will really make your hair style. I have seen people use this creme on mo-hawks. Check out the Bumble & Bumble website. I am a a loyal advocate of their products! BIG SEXY HAIR also has great hair spray. Use their Back Tease as actual spray on your curls.

@macsuperstar11 Oh and one more thing..if your hair is falling flat as in losing volume..try Bumble & Bumble thickening spray. It makes my hair HUGE sex kitten-like. You can get Bumble & Bumble at Sephora. If itkeeps falling flat take a comb and instead of backcombing, put the brush in the center of your part and gently massage your scalp (brush back and forth). This will lift the roots. I do this when my hair starts to get greasy.
