this is the only video on the conversion of the tokarev pistol on youtube. this video is not enough we need a video doing a conversion of the 7.62x25 to 9mm tokarev. This guy provides alot of good detail but unfortunately he doesn't own the romanian or the russian version of this pistol. if you have done the conversion of this pistol to from 7.62x25 to 9mm it would be greatly appreciated. Thumbs up making this important video : )
@gunitup234 Really? It's exacty the same! Just swap out his saying "9mm" for "7.62x25" and vice versa. The only thing you need to know is that the magazines need a spacer for a 7.62 conversion to 9mm.
I would take my tokarev down and reassemble it a bit differently. I would put the barrel and spring in the slide, slide it back onto the frame, insert the slide release/take down pin, THEN put the bushing on. That way the spring doesn't try to rocket out or bend weird. I wish my former methhead roommate didn't decide my belongings were a great way to buy some meth.
It was to my understanding that there's a difference between the 213 and TT-33 regarding the extractor claw. Also, there's been word going 'round online of the Norinco 213's owner's manual stating that their "service life" is only rated for about 2,000 rounds. Have you had any issues with feeding/extraction or signs of excess or unusual wear on your 213 since you converted it to 7.62x25? I've been thinking getting one of these as a truck gun, and it'd be nice if it shot both calibers reliably.
Yes has some features of the 1911s n also thanks for the video man. I wasn't sure how to take apart cuz I just bought one n wanted to clean it so it was very helpful. Ps the recoil spring is a bitch to put back in. Thanks again
do u know were i can buy a magazine 4 this gun either a 9mm, but i need the larger magazine with a spacer inside the magazin...the smaller magazine 4 the 9mm dnt fit
do u know were i can buy a magazine 4 this gun either a 9mm, btu i need the lager magazine with the spacer in it because the smaller 9mm cilp is 2 small...any ideas
I tried unsuccessfully to fit a Norinco 9mm into my Romanian 7.62 Tokarev, the barrel would not slide all the way thru the slide when trying to install it. Also that mag well spacer cannot be installed without drilling a hole for that pin.
@vaninec, the grips are custom modified wrap around grips from Marstars in Canada. I added the little beaver tail using JB weld, sanded & painted them.
Great video. Where did u get the grips?

Is it possible to do this with East European versions?
Say, a 9mm Hungarian or Serbian-made version?

That looks real nice with those grips. The grips on a stock one are ugly as hell.
