  • yaddahooha - There's a lot involved, but you live in an area that's rich with great water, and knowledgable people. There's a wealth of information on the website known as TKF which is the Texas Kayak Fishing Forum.

I use a clear version of that net, and it makes all the difference - fish don't freak at the last minute and the rubber net is the best for the fish.

  • Great video! What's the best way to get started kayaking and learning this river? I'm new to San Antonio and kayaking and want to get started. Is this an easy river to navigate for a novice? Nice to see a video with people also using conventional tackle, most of the stuff you find online involves fly fishing only.

  • Awesome video.I'm so lucky to live 10 minutes from the 4th and get to spend alot of time FLYFISHING the Guad.

  • I'm not sure what brand that net was. It was one we picked up in a coastal tourney as a prize package and i probably removed the label. It's a great one though, rubber like netting and floating handle.

  • what net were you using

  • Now we're talking! Tattoo time.

  • Awsome video! I practically live in the Guad in the winter. Its a shame that this Summer was so brutal though. Fly for life

  • @sofleye23 - Thanks! We had a blast creating this one. The area is very fun and inviting. Yes, we were amazed at the water discharge...or lack thereof. It was about 70 CFS at the time we shot this in April '10.
