@nashicobresciani actually no, the cost is not very different, as it fits into the les paul custom category and has everything in mahogany. the frets are rounded and that can make bending a lot more serious and strong, also there is a great harmonic response almost like the gibson lp studio (300 bucks more expensive).

PS: this is top line epiphone LP, don't be picky about it.

@Itshardtopronuncius completely different models. i say that the black beauty is better than the custom silverburst. cause it has an extra pickup, and the guitar sounds amazing. that was an advantage. disadvantage: when you strum the middle pickup might get in the way, but that's not something serious. you'll get use to it. now the silverburst. the only difference is that it hasn't got the middle pickup. that's ok, they are both great guitars. but to be sure, you should try them.

@GibsonRay6 It's probably one of the best Epiphone models you can buy. I've played it before it plays EXTREMELY well. Get it set up and it'll play and sound even better. This kid doesn't show it justice. He sounds like shit. (No offense kid)

@TLRH94 I definitely suggest getting a marshall, which are extremely great amps. However, you could always go to your local guitar store and plug a guitar into the amps that they have there and see which one you like best.

how are the tuners and pickups on the guitar? have you had any problems with them? i this is one of the few guitars i would probably consider buying later on.

others im considering are the jackson rr5 in ivory with pinstripes, an esp/ltd ec 401, an ibanez rgt6ex, and the epi 2010 tribute model (maybe).

i usually play hard rock and metal, so those guitars would fit in those styles of playing.
