can some one help me i have a psp 3000 the fat black one and somethings is wrong with it i play for like 5 mins and it say battery dead and its been charging all night whats wrong PLZ HELP ME!!!
it sounds like the cable that links the AC adaprot to the motherboard has burned out which means you need to replace that but they only cost £5 which is about $10 and are quite easy to fit.
I sold that PSP for parts and got a different one. The second PSP worked fine for a while until it encountered the same problem. I discovered that the issue could be from either the ribbon connectors or the fuse connector. For mine, it was the ribbon behind the D pad. After it was fixed, the PSP would not charge even after being plugged in. Then I toggled around with the fuse and it finally worked normally. I recommend disassembling the PSP to be sure. Find a tutorial if needed. Hope this helps.
i have the same problem i tried de soldering the fuse next to the white plug for the power (top right side) and bridging it with solder but that didnt work - have you found out what it is?
It's not a brick, it actually a power shortage that fried the motherboard or power switch. It happened to me before while operating on it with the power on! NOT SMART!!
i have the same problem with mine... my power light does the same thing his does... but when the charger is connected the red light stays on... so its not a light problem... will pandora help?
I had the same problem, but I dont know if you did this. I got my backligt out and tried to put the new one in. The clamp for the wire broke and I tried to hold down the wires to see if the backlight would turn on but it wasnt as planned. I got some kind of short. the green light flashed but the system didnt turn on.
I think a new motherboard and switch could fix the problem.
i have the proplem

You have to completely disassemble the PSP, throw it back together and it should work. Also if your screen is busted this will occur.
