my claim is that it was just a mythical story that he heard during his trip to syria and inluded it in his koran. alexander never built a wall of iron and copper. if he did then plz show me that wall.

another mythical story in sura kaif is that of 7 saints who slept in the cave for 200 years.

koran is the word of mr.muhammad not god's.

I mustdisagree with you about a lot of things, for you have exagerated a bit by stating some facts about the arab world that are not exactly true.

lets be more objective when we talk about our countries otherwise we will never reach to point where we can reflect our real image and it will always remain the same image about your countries a cutltures in the eyes of the rest of the world.

that's EXACTLY how i think. I totally agree with u. However others try to force their OWN interpretation on every1 who doen't think like them. But anyway, i like ppl who disagree with my opinion to try to advice me (if they wanted to) and then leave me be, & not force it upon me. And i do that with other ppl to.

also, u said it urself, u "think" that the hijab is to .... well i also "think" that hijab is to wear clothes modestly not necessarily cover ur hair, HOWEVER i do agree, that the ones who do (who do it BECAUSE they are convinced they wanna be as max modest as they can be) are BETTER than me (EXcluding mit-hajba girls who wear tight clothings) :)

I have to say some of things you said are inaccurate. Not all women who wear hijab are regarded as holy or protected by Islam. I believe some of the females victims of honour crimes did wear hijab. Also there is nothing wrong with a woman who spends a minute or two to look presentable. I respect your opinion and everyone has a right to their opinion. But please try not to generalize.

i think wearing a veil is a personal decision. however, i dont think that 'veil' = 'hijab'. 'Hijab' is to protect your soul and body from any kind of harrasment. it is to respect the bodies God has given us, MEN and WOMEN. we should not sell our inner and outer beauty. 'hijab' is a way of living..and not only clothes.

I don't think you got my point:

1)I said u were right, she should have put out women wearing Hijabs, however they aren't representing us all :) you said they are 90%, it isn't true. Majority yes, that much in percent no

2) They won't waste time fixing themselves, I don't wear one, i don't waste my time. Look at Kuwaiti girls in the malls. Most of them are wearing the scarf and putting MOUNTAINS of makeup. (I do respect the ones who wear it properly, with all due respect)

you bring up valid point but if women have hijab/no hijab harm can stil happen. wearing it may be away to keep holy or 'off limits' but bad individuals/men willnot descriminate when they harm a women. unfortunetly they stil will do it no matter what she wears. so i donthink thats right that nobody can touch her. also i dont think woman in america have work shoulder to shoulder for hundred of years, this is also just recent of equality like voting. it has justbeen very embraced not very long ago.

I'm a muslim (practicing one). I wear the hijab (without the face covered). But I would LOVE to wear a burqa/niqab too. I live in a secular, non-muslim country. I have tons of non-muslim friends. They do not show any problems with my hijab and we all talk and joke with each other all the time.
