thats wat me and my bro used to do but we would put our christmas tree in the lake by our dock..and man it created a good crappie and blue gil spot

I did the same thing in our pond. Then I anchored the tree in place with concrete blocks.

isnt that like...cheating? idk but i cant wait to go fishing this weekend. with crappie and bluegill, you can fry the tails and they taste like potatoe chips with a little hunk of meat at the end.

dude its not good, its great. you cut off the tail but leave a little peice of meat at the end, and u fry them with or in the same oil that you did with the filets or however you cooked them, and u got little fish chips. i would recommend not doing this with fish bigger than about the size of your whole hand cause their are those little spine type things that can poke your mouth if they get too big

I hear that Crappie are delicious. What all do you put on them and how do you cook them?

I like to fry them in Andy's fish breading. There are probably hundreds to thousands of recipes though.

@dedfishdotcom Andy's is alright. I prefer Louisiana seasoned fish fry.

Fry them with any stor bought breading, fries, pups, coleslaw, pickled onion and some iced tea..>Oh yea and hotsauce (Texas Petes) and Ketchup.
