And today, Simone is less and less great in live :( So much more wrong notes, she writes songs lines she cannot reproduce in gig... It's ashame. Simone tambien compone, no se de tarja porque artistacamente no la sigo, pero compararlas es una tonteria. No es que la voz de floor sea 'mejor', a mi tambien me parece mas fuerte, con mas rango, color, textura, bla bla.. pero me gusta mas la de simone por su tipo de voz que es completamente dstinto.

First, there's that resource called water that all singers (should) use whenever possible. I actually think I could sing high for that long with water. I don't know what to sing for two full hours though. Third, most no one would be CRAZY enough to sing for 2 hours straight WITHOUT taking a break in the middle. I've had Honors Choir, but I was an alto (I'm a mezzo). I can't tell you about singing high for long, though I'll sing for abt. 7 straight hours next year for a choir trip.

Singing high is even exhausting as singing low if you don't take care of your voice correctly. So it doesn't really matter if you sing high or low, and after all, floor doesn't sing very high at all ! Don't let your ears be fooled. it just sounds high, but a soprano can sing high. floor can sing high too, but a bit lower. And in deed, water is a must for singers, floor uses that too, like every wise singer. It's all about the training of the voice and how well you take care of it.

High is subjective; most people in the US sing much lower than Floor. It's true that Floor doesn't sing VERY high (as in above C6) for very long (one D6 in Emphasis and a few C#6's in different songs), but I've heard that she's a mezzo... so she's singing at about her break area?

Either way, @IIVORIAN, I managed singing well for 8 hours at Honors Choir. X_X It's terrible standing in high heels for that long.

Soprano, m. soprano, and contralto describe where your registers and passagios (transitions for registers) are. There are subtypes in these categories. Tarja's voice transitions from B4 to A4 on the song Lagoon: she's a mezzo. Floor's voice is STRONG. However, she's a mezzo (break from Eb5 to F5 in Wings of Illusion). Simone's a mezzo: She's not a soprano, doesn't have the right breaks.
