If John McCain had won the election and was busy spending trillions expanding the Iraq war and trying to colonize Iranian oil while passing tax cuts for the rich, I am sure nobody ask about fiscal responsibility. It is easier to spend money destroying bridges in baghdad and rebuilding them, than the fix bridges in Minnesota. America is going down the drain as long as the Sarah Palins, Sean Hannitys and Glenn Becks continue to gather suppoert.
Who do you propose we place instead? This is not the United States of America.. it is the United States of Corporations, with corporations making decisions in their favor instead of for our benefit. In my opinion, Obama is trying to serve the people. The Repubs are constantly attempting to stop anything going through that will benefit the people.
I love how Hannity starts the interview by stating that he and Cantor are both opposed to the status quo on health care, then precedes to accuse the president of fear-mongering for stating that the status quo will lead to higher costs and people dying. Conservatives like Hannity and Cantor make it so obvious that they have no interest in any changes whatsoever to our current health care system.
Fox should be called misinformation for all americans. it took only one watch to find this "whip" ( which are funded by private industry) AND "news" reporter didn't listen. this cafeteria style of reporting news is what kills this country and its hopes to even advance in anyway. this proposal encompassed both parties ideology, promoted bi partisanship in exchange for realistic plans and keeping what works from both past and present administration and fixing what doesn't.
Sean Insannity is such a lying scumbag... a true shameless prick. Just like his buddy Dictator George Bushitler.
Just one example: Insannity said here president Obama quadrupled the deficit. Actually he didn't. But this is typical of Insannity and the Faux News Channel. Obama only started reporting in the deficit what Bushit was hiding - which was Bushit's (illegal) war, which he lied about too to get us into. As for any net increase, Obama is only trying to clean up Bushitler's messes.
Eric Cantor's "adult sense of responsibility" comment is fitting, considering he was playing on his blackberry, while Joe Wilson is shouting, one republican is wearing a "What Bill" sign and other republicans are holding documents over their heads. What a joke.
Congress men Eric Cantor is definitely in denial, but he is articulating the agenda of some Republicans and others the tactic of fear and ignorant dogma which works to see no evil and speak no evil mentality, but evil is in the midst of this gamesmanship to move the needed peices to try and regain the lost seats in Congress. The some Republicans and others are too twisted to see that reality means making changes that benefit all and not just a few! America must inspire those who are lost GOP!
When did Kenneth, the page from 30 Rock, get elected to office? And was he texting Mr. Tracy Jordan during the President's speech? Someone call Liz Lemon and Jack Donaghy!
"Adult sense of responsibility?" from the President? Where was it when there were lies and BS lies such as Death Panels, pulling the plug our of Grandma, "going to kill my "special" baby", rationing or at that day the heckling and the waving of what I think is the bill like a bunch of hooligans? Please Cantor. Look at your party before you talk about the other side.
People are dying at the moment because health insurance companies refuse to cover treatment!!! Hannity does not address the scare-tactics of health insurance companies.
as somebody once said, why are you worrying about the messenger, did you get the message? the debt has QUADRUPLED in the last 8 months, that means, you take the debt, make another one, and another one, and another one.
and as he said, the democrats control the house, they can pass a bill if they want, but they know the people dont want it. the president can sign an executive order if he wanted, but he doesnt want to take the fall for it. get the fuckin message people. and research if yourself.
Sorry to tell you this, but the polls are showing that the majority of American people DO want the healthcare plan. The debt.. I do not believe a word coming out of any Republican's mouth.. esp after the lies they spewed during the election. The Republican Party has 2 groups of followers.. the top 10% wealthiest, and the fools who are gullible enough to believe the lies they create and spread.
polls are a propaganda tool of the white house and the people who control it (the federal reserve bankers), and so is tv period. and the debt, why dont you look it up for your fucking self? idk know if what he said is true or not, but i dont need to because i know the agenda of the president already, inflating the dollar with the bailout, and passing devastating legislation in cap and trade. i dont listen to republicans or democrats, i listen to everybody, and in listening when someone warns
that something is bad and doing my own research, i can point point out the liars and the truth tellers, and for the most part, the people that are against this bill are the truth tellers. nobody with the interest of the american people in mind would even consider passing this bill if they understood what creating a constant, controlled demand for something will do to prices and quality of that something. nothing will stop the healthcare market from raising prices and lowering quality, if the
government is just going to buy it anyways, and seeing as the federal reserve will be more than happy to turn on their printing presses, the demand would be infinite. and if the healthcare business would be able to get seemingly infinite profits from what they already have, what would be the incentive to create any new technology?
i would even take it to the extent that government already planned on his happening, and then planned on saying that they simply cannot afford what the private doctors and whatever are providing, so government will have to take over to make things affordable, when they would have allowed things to be made unaffordable to begin with. just like they have done already, with medicaid and medicare and va insurance, creating a constant, controlled demand, that peoples wallets have to compete with.
in 1945 the govt passed the McCarren-Ferguson Act and Public Law 15 allowing the federal govt to regulate fair labor standards - anti trust matters and all other regulation to be given to the state govts to regulate insurance affairs, including conduct of insurance reps etc. also to monitor financial solvency of ins co.& review & approve rates, policies & forms to assure public ins. availability, the govt has had their hands on all ins for over 45 years now, WAKE UP PEOPLE

The first word out of this tool's mouth is abortion. Funny how republicans want government out of your life except when it comes to abortion. Then they want government in your life telling you what you can and cant do. That's hypocracy people, plan and simple.
The issue of abortion is one of basic human rights. Both Democrats and Republicans believe that protection of human rights is a valid government function. The intervention that conservatives dislike is when government takes action not prescribed in the constitution.

No, the Nazis were FASCISTS. the key elements of Nazism were anti-parliamentarism, Pan-Germanism, racism, collectivism, eugenics, antisemitism, anti-communism, totalitarianism and opposition to economic liberalism and political liberalism.
While the Nazis DID use both views from both the left and the right, their alliances were mostly with the right, which would be CONSERVATISM.
Sheesh, for an ordinary American, you don't have that great of an IQ, do ya? Good day, sir.
Oh, bullshit. If he thinks "partisan hackery" is either what was "spewed" tonight or what would "ruin" Obama, he both doesn't understand the speech at all and he doesn't understand partisan politics. Cantor claims the President said "the economy is back." (As opposed to "back from the brink.") 3
