he didn't make demonstrations illegal - if you actually understood what the law meant you'd know it was more liberal than in any other state in australia. people had to apply for a permit. before that anyone could just go and blockade traffic. my old teacher's dad used to drive through brisbane every day and when there was a strike it would mean his journey would take over 5 hours just to get home.
queensland state marching laws were MORE LIBERAL than any other state in australia. the other governments - state and liberal had far stricter controls on marching permits.
first of all - corruption - obviously there are bad eggs in every government - the labor governments since already have several ministers in jail. tell me, why do you think developers give hundreds of thousands of dollars to the ALP? its not just because they "like them".
police resources against political opponents? last time i checked labor never got a majority of the vote and were free to contest any election they wanted.
