  • Does anyone have an audio library of Sir Joh's quotes?

  • "Smirking on the otherside of the bull ants!"

    I lol'd. ;)

  • LMFAO!!!! Fuckin bull ants.... lol

  • Genius. Both of them.

  • Hahaha Marg Downey's Jana Wendt was one of the best characers on Fast Forward. The ones with Sir Joh especially! Hilarious.

  • LMAO...!

  • Gerry Connolly is a comic of genius. The real Joh wanted to come after him with a big stick to chase him over the tickgates and back to the socialist south. Anyone catch Mr Connolly's all-too rarely performed Paul Keating take-off? Uncanny and hilarious.

  • Listen you idiot from 2 comments above me.....

The man is an open and honest POLITICIAN , thus admitting that he is a career

pollitician, what more does he have to do to say he is totally corrupt....

look get this down POLITICIAN = PEDOPHILE(Gods defn)

PEDOPHILE(Gods Defn) = POLITICIAN, their careers are as honorable as each other

  • Sounds like Sam Newman

  • LMAO! Gold!

  • He was seriously Christian. There is no way he would have taken bribes.

Seriously most people who say so are uni students who have been told to think that by their lecturers. They probably weren't even alive during Joh's time!

  • @4497570 Seriously christian! I believe so were the owners of Kleenmaid - don't make me laugh!

  • CRAP! how could he take bribes-he like was based around religion. He was used by crooks and we ALL know it!

The people that say otherwise often weren't even old enough at the time to make up their own thoughts!

  • This is the most classic Fast Foward sketch of them all! I remember seeing this on telly for the first time - I couldn't breathe for laughing so much.

  • "So you're saying I'm wrong?' That line was funny enough by itself.

  • Related to Sarah Palin?? ;) hehe.

  • In answer to ChunkyFatMan, how do you want your crime, running rampant like it is now, or controlled like it was then under Sir Joseph?

  • @TheEggster70 "...controlled like it was then..." ROFLMAO

BTW - it was Sir Johannes.

  • this cunt ruined alan bond.

  • @bogancentral - Joh was no saint, but Alan Bond was perfectly capable of ruining himself.

  • lol "I don't think at all..."

  • ahhh classic! Such a spot on impression of Joh

  • This is pure gold! That's so how he used to talk. Brilliant!

  • "You're wrong, wrong, wrong..."

    "So you're saying I'm wrong?"

    "No, I'm not saying that!"

    Hilarious!

  • Those were the day when politics could be funny and Jana gave everyone the shits! lol

  • Champagne!

  • It's so funny to me because I remember Jana Wendt and she had like no emotion they just nail it so well.

  • One word....Hilarious!

  • Joh was great, but this is hilarious!!!

  • WRONG!! He was a fucking corrupt, election rigging crook and I hope he burns in hell.

  • ChunkyFatMan the Queensland ALP learn well off him and are copying him. The bloke that got him in trouble a bank teller named Gordon NUTTALL is in jail for the same thing Joh was accused of. The difference is Joh never went to jail. It is funny how the dead only vote labor vote rigging is practiced by both sides of Parliament.

  • Yep, the world is a better place now that this evil piece of shit has stopped stealing oxygen. But on a lighter note, how hilarious is this sketch?

  • evil piece of shit? he was the last premier in queensland who actually did shit and didn't fuck up our healthcare system.

you do realise joh was the first premier to introduce free healthcare? i think that's the opposite of evil.

  • You're wrong, wrong, wrong..."

    "So you're saying I'm wrong?"

    "No, I'm not saying that!"

  • Well there's 1 good thing fair enough, but hmm let me think of a few other things such as making peaceful demonstrations illegal, election rigging, and blatant croneyism (white shoe brigade ring any bells?). No wonder Queensland is still seen as the Redneck state. The man was like some South American dictator, but hey, Victoria has had nothing but the worst governments too for over 20 years.

  • he didn't make demonstrations illegal - if you actually understood what the law meant you'd know it was more liberal than in any other state in australia. people had to apply for a permit. before that anyone could just go and blockade traffic. my old teacher's dad used to drive through brisbane every day and when there was a strike it would mean his journey would take over 5 hours just to get home.

  • @liber8me 'The days of street marches are over! Don't bother applying for a permit.. You won't get one! - from the man himself back in the 70's

  • queensland state marching laws were MORE LIBERAL than any other state in australia. the other governments - state and liberal had far stricter controls on marching permits.

  • @liber8me Thats why the students could hold a march in nsw that promptly ended when it hit the qld border. Sure buddy, sure.

  • first of all - corruption - obviously there are bad eggs in every government - the labor governments since already have several ministers in jail. tell me, why do you think developers give hundreds of thousands of dollars to the ALP? its not just because they "like them".

police resources against political opponents? last time i checked labor never got a majority of the vote and were free to contest any election they wanted.

  • I wouldn't bother with people like liber8me (what a lame-arsed name), they'll forever worship their redneck idols such as Joh, and sprout out whatever 'truth' they can dig up in order to justify their arguments.

  • i wouldn't say that liber8me worshipping joh, he was stating the facts that quite frankly queensland marching laws were actually more liberal than in other states - which they were.

by the way, i would never vote for joh, i am not a conservative, i just hate bullshit from anyone.

if you want to see bullshit look what was said about the gerrymander in queensland - every single election the coalition won their vote was over 50%. labor is the only one to win an election with a minority of the vote

  • NSW Labor couldn't organise a root in a brothel with an unlimited credit card, a jar full of viagra and a copy of 'The Kama Sutra'. Mind you, Kristina Kenneally is the most bangable state premier by far!

  • I'd rather Natasha, not that she's a senator any longer, as for NSW labor yeah i'd agree with that, but I think Vic labor is the worst ever state government. Tyrannical, hopelessly incompetent, and so on and so forth. Victoria's been basically reamed up the arse (in different ways and for different reasons) by state governments for the past 30 or so years, liberal and labor.

  • now election rigging? there was never an election where the combined vote of the liberals and nations was below 50% so that shoots your theory to pieces. do you know what part of the primary vote the LNP needed to win the last election? 53%. labor are the ones who have perfected electoral rigging, not the libs.

finally there are bad eggs in every party - labors already got a few ministers in jail and do you really think developers are just being nice when they give labor thousands of dollars?

  • @shaun180381 what a sad hateful loser you are

  • Sad, not really, a bit hard when there's so much funny shit online, and also when there's people like you to laugh at as well. Hateful, oooh yes indeed and proud of it, as for looser well that's your opinion, not that I give a shit about it however.

  • @ChunkyFatMan

What you said is true. I agree.

But he did more for QLD than any other premier. Joh got investment into QLD, Tourism, destroyed the ridiculous unions, built roads and highways in the outback, built bridges and maintained infrastructure.

Ever driven along a Developmental Road in Outback QLD lately ? They are ALL stuffed from lack of maintenance.

Joh opened up the bush and gave rural folk access to major towns and cities.

Have you ever been outside a city ?(on dirt roads..)

  • @ChunkyFatMan

what about the outback developmental roads he opened up and maintained ?

What about the investment he brought to QLD ? What about the bridges, power lines, coal mines and tourism he opened up ?

He did a lot of good as well. Please remember that. Balance.

  • Gerry Connolly makes the best stand up of Sir Joe!

  • Easy one of the best sketches of the show.

  • Thanks so much for posting this. F.F. was the best show, very funny

  • "Haive never don that jana, you are wrong". An absolute Australian classic.

Frightfully accurate to Sir (nutjob) Joh himself.

  • i got it on dvd ;) its australian you can find it here quite easy, maybe try buying it online

  • I love this bit. I wish FAST FORWARD was on DVD somewhere. Wish list I suppose.

  • Mate you can get all 4 seasons of Fast Forward at JB hifi. I'm assuming you're an Australian that is, otherwise my condolences, you may find it difficult finding this amazingly awesome show on DVD.

  • hey Shaun-o, thanks for the ADvice. You rock socks. And I'll get on to my nearest JB-HiFi dealer for the best in prices and the latest in options for home theater and more! Their convenient locations and friendly staff should be able to solve all my visual and audio entertainment needs. Except porn.

  • Rest assured i'm not an employee of JB, didn't mean for my comment to sound like an ad hehe.

PS. Just went and bought some more DVD's at JB for a good price.

  • "Smirking on the other side of the bull ants"--ROTFLMAO!!!

  • classic..i remember doing a year 12 end of year thing acting as jana doing a similar type of skit...course wasn't in the same league as her of course, but hell what a hilarious take

  • Connolly had it spot-on. Joh deserved to be satirised as the burbling idiot and corrupt politician that he was.

It has been said that the real Joh called talking to the media/journalists "feeding the chooks". Thank goodness Chris Masters was no chook!

  • Othello, I once read a transcript of a John interview, and if I were a Queenslander, I would've packed death to see what a raving nutjob was running the state. He was as mad as a tree full of galahs. Gerry Connelly was being kind to him here.

  • one of the best from gerry connelly--dont you worry about that--the real interview between yana and joh--was just like this one-captured so well-by gerry

  • how played sir joh by the way

  • Gerry Connelly
