Nice vid. I must say that I hope I never encounter you because you are a creepy old fuck. Your jokes are horrible. And so is your shotgun. I'm more of a Remington 870 guy. I would never, ever use a slug for home defense, especially after I see it going through so much wood. If I'm going to defend myself I would use bird/buckshot. Flechettes would work really well, too, although I'm almost positive that flechettes aren't available to civilians. (Flechettes are steel darts that are loaded into th
finally a penetration test that makes it clear. I will not use slug in my situation for home defense after seeing it go thru a foot of wood. stick to bird/buck when I get my shotty.
fyi on the winchester "military" buckshot rds... as it turns out they are the exact same thing as the bulk 00 win buck you can find in 15rd packs at walmart, but just have a green hull and a blackened rear end . ie theyre not great; they have no buffer, shot cup, the pellets are soft and arent plated, and therefore produce terrible patterns.
for an awesome defensive load check out the federal premium/tactical line of buck that have flite control wads. they produce an extremely tight pattern
@tmitch965 Well to be real honest, I have not had the chance to test all of the defensive shotgun ammo on the open market. Because I was first breaking in this shotgun and getting used to it, I just purchased the cheapest shot I could find. Good information here and thanks much...!!
@HerbWalker Believe me, I wanted to. However, this would have been illegal. I tried to capture some camera frames of her, but missed that opportunity as well. These elk have a unique way of moving very fast through the timber :)
@didgerod To be very honest, I am not quite sure of the weight on this piece. At one point in time, I had an after market magazine extender plus a tactical flashlight installed on this shotgun. These extra parts added much more weight plus did not work out to well. This shotgun weighs under 7 pounds without shells, I am sure :)
@stronghorse22 Personally, I just do not care for "auto" loader shotguns. They have a weaker action compared to a pump jobber. Thanks for the review :)
@spearmintmonkey I have plenty of ammo, rest assured. FYI, I do not even like AR 15's. I am fairly sure you have missed the whole entire point of this video release.

@ldragonheart Double O buck shot is good. Nice choice. I also find that #3 bird shot is quite devastating as well. Thanks for the comments :)

Hey Jim. What is your opinion of the AA-12 Automatic Shotgun? Overkill, perhaps, for bear attacks, ahaha?!

Hunting with a shotgun would feel a bit like cheating too. For protection against bears, sure thing. Thanks for the upload. Take care.

@LittlPussi The reality is that there are quite a few folks that hunt with shotguns. This piece is mostly for protection. Thanks for the review :)

You know Jim, the way that stump ended up, I don't think that was hair you painted on...it was troll horns!
